Occupation army attack weekly Kafr Qaddum protest

Israeli occupation forces today attacked dozens of Palestinian protesters while demonstrating in the village of Kafr Qaddum, near the city of Qalqilia in the occupied West Bank, against the Israeli colonial settlement construction and expansion.

Morad Shtewi, coordinator of the popular resistance in the village, said Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated rounds and teargas at the protesters, causing many cases of suffocation from gas inhalation.

All of the wounded were treated at the scene by local medics.

For many years, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages have been holding weekly protests on Fridays against illegal Israeli settlement activities, as well as to call on Israeli authorities to reopen the village’s main road, which has been sealed off by the occupation authorities since 2002.
