Palestinian-owned dwellings, cattle barns demolished by Israeli bulldozers north of Jericho

Israeli bulldozers today knocked down Palestinian-owned dwellings and cattle barns in al-Jiftlik village, north of Jericho, in the Jordan Valley, said a local municipal source.

Mayor of al-Jiftlik, Ahmad Abu Ghanem, said the Israeli forces escorted a bulldozer to an area southeast of the village where the heavy machinery tore down four dwellings made of brick and tin sheets and two cattle barns, all belonging to a local resident under the pretext they were built in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is still under full Israeli military rule and where Israel prevents Palestinian development.
