Palestinian reportedly killed after his car caught on fire near an Israeli military checkpoint

A Palestinian who was not immediately identified was reportedly killed when his car was caught on fire near the Dottan Israeli military checkpoint near the town of Yabad, southwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, according to local sources.

They said Israeli soldiers opened fire at the car following an alleged car-ramming attack south of Yabad.

Video clips of the incident showed the Palestinian’s car on fire as well as an army jeep next to it.

Israeli reports said the Palestinian driver of the car perished inside it after it caught on fire.

They also said two soldiers were lightly injured in the car-ramming attack.
