President Mahmoud Abbas offered today his condolences to His Holiness Pope Francis on the death of former Pope Benedict XVI.
In a letter of condolence, the President commended the former Pope for his solidarity and support for the freedom and independence of the Palestinian people.
The President prayed for mercy for His Holiness Pope Benedict, and for Pope Francis to enjoy a good health and a long life for justice, peace and rapprochement between peoples and religions.
