Pro-Palestinian protesters in UK occupy factory supplying drone parts to Israel

LONDON, Pro-Palestinian activists have mounted and occupied the roof of a factory in northern England which they say is involved in a supply chain linked to Israeli drone manufacturer Elbit Systems.

Palestine Action, a British pro-Palestinian protest network, said in a statement that it members “stormed, scaled, and occupied” the premises of the roof of the APPH military equipment manufacturer, which manufactures military technology and landing gear for the Israeli arms manufacturer Elbit System.

“So far, activists have broken into the factory to dismantle drone and aircraft machinery, have destroyed property including floodlights, ventilators, windows and cameras, have sprayed blood-red paint across premises, and are currently occupying the roof to prevent operations at the site,” the organization said.

In a statement, the group said that the factory “manufactures military technology and landing gear for Elbit Systems’ drone”.

Pictures shared online by Palestine Action showed activists on the roof of the factory, waving a Palestinian flag. The building was smeared with red paint.

Palestine Action said it will continue to target Elbit-linked locations until the company ceases its complicity in Israel’s war crimes against Palestinians.
