The Russian Foreign Ministry said today that representatives of the Middle East Quartet discussed steps to accelerate the easing of the ‘conflict’ between Palestine and Israel.
The Foreign Ministry added that representatives of the Quartet, which includes Russia, the United States, the European Union and the United Nations, stressed the need to comply with the rules of humanitarian law in the ‘Palestinian-Israeli conflict’.
The ministry indicated that Russia stressed, during the talks, the necessity of holding a meeting of the Quartet of the Middle East at the ministerial level.
