The security forces have strengthened their presence in Tahrir Square and Al-Jumhuriya Bridge in the center of the capital, Baghdad, in anticipation of a demonstration that employees intend to organize today, to demand an amendment to the salary scale.
The Higher Coordinating Committee for Iraqi Employees had called, in a statement, for all state employees to take the streets with a major demonstration today to demand an amendment to the salary scale.
