South Korea, US to Conduct Largest-Ever Live-Fire Military Drills

South Korea and the United States will conduct their largest-ever live-fire military exercises for three weeks.

The two allies will conduct the “joint firepower exercises” from May 25 to June 15 in the Pocheon region, the South Korean Defense Ministry said on Saturday.

During the drill, the two sides will display the latest weapons and capabilities to respond against any provocation that might threaten the stability of the Korean Peninsula.

The exercises will mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of South Korea’s armed forces and the 70th anniversary of the South Korea-US alliance.
