The President Of The Republic Receives An Official Invitation To Attend The Arab Summit In The Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received an official invitation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to attend the Arab summit in its thirty-second regular session, which is hosted by the city of Jeddah.

A statement by the President’s Office stated: The President of the Republic received today the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz Al-Shammari, where the ambassador conveyed, at the beginning of the meeting, the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the President of the Republic and his wishes for the Iraqi people to continue progress and prosperity.

President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, sent with the Saudi ambassador, his greetings and appreciation to His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, thanking and appreciating him for the kind invitation, wishing the brotherly Saudi people further development and prosperity.

The President of the Republic stressed the necessity of convening the Arab summit at the present time to discuss many important issues and work to solve them and enhance joint cooperation between the countries of the region.

The statement indicated that during the meeting, they discussed the course of bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.
