Two Palestinians shot, injured as Israeli forces suppress Beit Dajan anti-settlement rally

At least two Palestinians were shot and injured today by rubber-coated steel bullets as the Israeli army suppressed the peaceful anti-settlement weekly march in the town of Beit Dejan to the east of Nablus, said medical sources.

Sources said that two Palestinians were struck by rubber-coated steel bullets; one was shot in the chest and the other in the foot.

Dozens of others suffocated after inhaling the tear gas fired by the Israeli forces during their violent crackdown on the peaceful march. They were all treated at the scene.

Palestinians there have been protesting against the theft of Palestinian land for the benefit of settlement expansion.
