Baghdad The Ministry of Water Resources announced: “The Ilisu Dam, located on the Tigris River, southeast of Turkey, has been completed, the water storage process in it has been completed and its operation since 2019”.
Regarding the announcement of the opening of the Ilisu Dam, the ministry commented: “The dam was established for the purposes of generating electric power, and it has entered service since that date,” indicating: “The opening of the dam by the Turkish government is a protocol opening that falls within the Turkish Republic’s centenary celebrations.”
