Youth injured, others suffocate as Palestinians clash with Israeli soldiers in several villages northwest of Ramallah

A Palestinian youth was shot by Israeli soldiers and injured in the leg this afternoon and others suffocated from inhaling tear gas during clashes in several villages northwest of Ramallah, according to local and Palestinian security sources.

Security sources said a 26-year-old youth from Beit Rima village was shot in the leg during clashes in the nearby village of Aboud.

They said the soldiers shot live and rubber-coated metal bullets, as well as tear gas and stun grenades at homes in Aboud, injuring one in the leg and causing suffocation cases.

Clashes were earlier reported at the entrance to Nabi Saleh village, which leads to Beit Rima village, where the Israeli army has a military watchtower, during which soldiers fired live bullets and tear gas as Palestinian houses causing several suffocation cases.
