كوامبا للطاقة الشمسية والكهروضوئية + مشروع لتخزين الطاقة يفتح الطريق أمام موزمبيق

مابوتو، موزمبيق, 15 يونيو/حزيران 2021 /PRNewswire/ — في خطوة مهمة نحو مستقبل الطاقة النظيفة، احتفلت شركة جلوبيليك، وهي شركة طاقة مستقلة رائدة في إفريقيا وشركاؤها في المشروع مؤسسة سورس انريجيا وشركة كهرباء موزمبيق (EDM) بالبداية في بناء محطة كوامبا للطاقة الشمسية والكهروضوئية بقدرة 19 ميجاوات (15 ميجاوات للتيار المتردد) ونظام تخزين طاقة بقدرة 2 ميجاوات (7 ميجاوات في الساعة).

وكان وزير الموارد المعدنية والطاقة، الدكتور إرنستو ماكس تونيلا، هو الضيف الرسمي في موقع محطة الطاقة في كوامبا حيث أقيم حفل وضع حجر الأساس. وسيسهم المشروع في استراتيجية الحكومة “الطاقة للجميع”، التي تهدف إلى الإتاحة الشاملة للطاقة بحلول عام 2030.

يقع المشروع الذي تبلغ تكلفته 32 مليون دولار أمريكي في منطقة تيرياني بمدينة كوامبا بمقاطعة نياسا، على بعد حوالي 550 كيلومتراً غرب مدينة ناكالا الساحلية. المشروع هو أول توليد مستقل للطاقة في موزمبيق لدمج نظام تخزين الطاقة على نطاق المرافق ويتضمن ترقية لمحطة كوامبا الفرعية الحالية. سيتم بيع الكهرباء من خلال اتفاقية شراء الطاقة لمدة 25 عاماً مع شركة كهرباء موزمبيق.

‫شبكة تلفزيون الصين الدولية (CGTN): الصين تعتزم تحويل مقاطعة تشجيانغ إلى منطقة نموذجية لتحقيق الرخاء المشترك

بكين – الصين, 15 يونيو 2021 /وكالة أنباء بي آر إن نيوزوير/ — من المتوقع أن تحقق مقاطعة تشجيانغ الشرقية بالصين تقدمًا ملحوظًا في إنشاء منطقة نموذجية لتحقيق الرخاء المشترك من خلال تنمية عالية الجودة، وذلك طبقًا للدليل الإرشادي الصادر عن اللجنة المركزية لحزب الصين الشيوعي ومجلس الدولة هذا الثلاثاء.

ويتضمن الدليل عدة إجراءات تستهدف توجيه المقاطعة نحو تقديم نموذج يحتذى به لتحقيق الرخاء المشترك.

ويذكر الدليل أن على مقاطعة تشجيانغ تحقيق تقدم ملموس في إنشاء المنطقة النموذجية بحلول عام 2025، بحيث يبلغ إجمالي الناتج المحلي منها لكل فرد المستوى السائد في الدول ذات الاقتصاد متوسط النمو، مع ظهور طبقة اجتماعية من متوسطي الدخل تشكل أغلبية سكان المنطقة خلال هذه الفترة.

ويضيف الدليل أنه خلال 10 أعوام من تحقيق ذلك، من المزمع أن تحقق المقاطعة نجاحًا أكبر في مجال التنمية عالية الجودة وتحقيق الرخاء المشترك بوجه عام.

كما تتميز المقاطعة بتوازن معدل التنمية بها، إّذ يمثل سكان الريف نصف التعداد السكاني بالمقاطعة، بينما يتفاوت الدخل بين سكان الريف والحضر بنسبة 1.96 نقطة، وهي أقل بكثير من النسبة السائدة على المستوى الوطني، والتي تبلغ 2.56 نقطة.

Palestinian-Israeli tensions rising again, warns UN official

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – Tensions between Israeli settlers and Palestinians are again rising which threatens to bring about a new round of clashes, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland has warned.

“Tensions rising again in Jerusalem at a very fragile and sensitive security and political time, when the United Nations and Egypt are actively engaged in solidifying the ceasefire,” Wennesland said via Twitter. He was referring to the so-called Flag March to be held in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem, which was called for by settler nationalists and approved by the new Israeli government.

Wennesland urged all sides to act in a responsible manner and to avoid any activities that might be seen as provocative.

“I urge all relevant parties to act responsibly and avoid any provocations that could lead to another round of confrontation,” he added in his message.

Right wing nationalist Israelis opposed to the creation of the new center-right collation government under Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid have announced a march in and around the historic Old City of Jerusalem on Tuesday. The march, which celebrates the anniversary of the occupation of East Jerusalem is seen as provocative by the Palestinians who consider the city as their religious and political capital.

Officials hold a vigil against Israel’s ban of Palestine TV in Jerusalem

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – Key Palestinian officials, including Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh, participated today in a vigil outside the headquarters of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) in Ramallah in protest of the Israeli occupation authorities’ decision to ban the work of the Palestine TV in the occupied capital Jerusalem.

Palestine TV, the official mouthpiece of the Palestinian Government and which is run by PBC, has been blocked from working in occupied Jerusalem by the Israeli occupation authorities.

“The voice of Palestine TV is the voice of Jerusalem and the voice of all of Palestine, and is the voice of freedom and national struggle. It is Israel that fights our geography and annexes our land systematically,” said Shtayyeh during the sit-in.

He added, “if reporting the truth is incitement, we will continue to report the truth, and if exposing the occupation and its practices is incitement, we and all free journalists in the world will continue to expose these Israeli practices.” He said the sit-in was a message of challenge to the Israeli occupation’s decision, and that the government will provide everything that this challenge needs.

“We will face the ‘flag march’ that wants to undermine our national identity. They [the Israelis] believe that it will change the face of Jerusalem, but it will not change the face of this Palestinian city,” he said in reference to the so-called ‘flag march’ called for by settler nationalists and which is scheduled to take place today in occupied Jerusalem.

Meanwhile, the General-Supervisor of the Official Media, Minister Ahmad Assaf, said the decision of the Israeli occupation to ban the work of the Palestine TV in Jerusalem will not prevent it from continuing its work.

He said the Israeli occupation’s government should know that its decision to ban the TV will not affect the coverage of the official media in occupied Jerusalem, which is the eternal capital of Palestine.

“The occupation is targeting Palestine TV not only in Jerusalem, but in all of the Palestinian cities. When we talk about targeting Palestine TV, we must not forget that it was bombed and its broadcast towers in Ramallah were destroyed [by Israeli warplanes] twenty years ago,” he added.

“We will remain by the side of our people in Jerusalem, and the Palestine TV camera will remain present in its mosques, churches, alleys, and streets. They [the Israelis] will not be able to hide this image and silence our voice.”

Other officials who participated in the sit-in included Sheikh Mohammad Hussein, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Rawhi Fattouh and Sabri Saydam, two members of the PLO Executive Committee.

Palestine supporters to protest provocative ‘flag march’ at Israeli mission in Manhattan

NEW YORK, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – Supporters of Palestine from across the New York City area said today they will rally outside the Israeli mission to the United Nations in Manhattan as part of a day of rage, announced in protest of the so-called ‘flag march’ planned by Israeli settlers against Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on Tuesday.

“Israelis have announced plans to invade Al-Aqsa and expand their colonization,” said Fatin Jarrar, a member of Al-Awda New York: The Palestine Right to Return Coalition and the Palestinian Youth Movement. “We are demanding direct action and calling for governments and people to embargo and sanction Israel until it ends its violent settler-colonial projects.”

“Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands injured in defense of Al-Aqsa over the last several weeks, from Gaza to Jerusalem to the West Bank and beyond,” said Nerdeen Kiswani, chair of Within our Lifetime: United for Palestine. “The Israeli ‘flag march’ is a slap in the face to Palestinians and marks another iteration of Zionist violence that is sure to come.”

EU missions condemn death sentences issued in Gaza

JERUSALEM, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – The European Union (EU) missions in Jerusalem and Ramallah condemned the death sentences issued by the de facto authorities in the Gaza Strip on June 7th and 13th, which raises the number of death sentences executed in Gaza since the beginning of this year to six.

The European Union Representative in a statement issued in agreement with the EU Heads of Mission in Jerusalem and Ramallah recalled the EU’s firm opposition under all circumstances to the use of capital punishment.

The EU considers that the abolition of the death penalty contributes to the enhancement of human dignity and the progressive development of human rights. It considers capital punishment to be cruel and inhuman, that it fails to provide deterrence to criminal behaviour, and represents an unacceptable denial of human dignity and integrity, said the statement.

The de facto authorities in Gaza must refrain from carrying out any executions of prisoners and comply with the moratorium on executions put in place by the Palestinian Authority, pending abolition of the death penalty in line with the global trend and following the signing of the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Right, said the statement.

Palestine records 258 new coronavirus cases, three deaths and 252 recoveries

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said today that 258 new cases of COVID-19, three deaths and 252 recoveries were registered in Palestine during the past 24 hours.

In her daily report on the coronavirus pandemic, Alkaila said two deaths from COVID-19 were reported in the Gaza Strip, while a third one was reported in the West Bank.

In the Gaza Strip, 240 coronavirus tests came out positive, while the West Bank had 18 new cases. No infections were registered in occupied Jerusalem.

The health minister said 13 patients of COVID-19 are under intensive care, of whom two are on ventilators. In addition, 19 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals and COVID-19 dispensaries.

Alkaila pointed out that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 97.7 percent, while active cases declined to 1.2 percent.

Deaths stood at 1.1 percent of total infections.

Concerning rollout of vaccines, the health minister said over 418,703 people have received their first jab of the vaccine in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, of whom 256,233 received both doses.

Palestinian prisoner sentenced to 10 years in Israeli detention

JENIN, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – The Israeli military court of Salem in the north of the occupied West Bank yesterday sentenced Palestinian political prisoner Samer Tawfiq Jabarin, 25, to 10 years in prison.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), a West Bank-based prisoner advocacy group, said Jabarin has been in prison since April 2, 2019, and is currently held in the Israeli prison of Gilboa.

There are more than 4,000 Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli detention for their activism in the resistance of the Israeli occupation of their homeland. Some of these prisoners have been there for more than 30 years.

Occupation forces halt rehabilitation works near Nablus

NABLUS, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces ordered today a halt on rehabilitation works at the entrance of Sebastiya village, north of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

Mohammad Azem, head of the Sebastiya Municipality, told WAFA that the Israeli forces, and under the order of the security official in the nearby settlement of Shave Shomron, ordered a halt on the rehabilitation works and briefly detained the contractor and the workers. The forces also briefly confiscated the bulldozer and rehabilitation equipment in the place.

Azem pointed out that the entrance to the village had not been rehabilitated for more than twenty years, and that a funding to rehabilitate it was received from the Ministry of Local Government recently.

The rehabilitation work started a week ago, he added.
