JENIN, Tuesday, June 15, 2021 (WAFA) – The Israeli military court of Salem in the north of the occupied West Bank yesterday sentenced Palestinian political prisoner Samer Tawfiq Jabarin, 25, to 10 years in prison.
The Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS), a West Bank-based prisoner advocacy group, said Jabarin has been in prison since April 2, 2019, and is currently held in the Israeli prison of Gilboa.
There are more than 4,000 Palestinian political prisoners held in Israeli detention for their activism in the resistance of the Israeli occupation of their homeland. Some of these prisoners have been there for more than 30 years.
