Israeli army orders Palestinian farmer to remove fence placed around his land in Jordan Valley

The Israeli army today ordered a Palestinian farmer to remove a fence he had placed around his land in the Humma community in the northern Jordan Valley, according to the land owner.

Muheeb Fukaha said soldiers raided his family tents and verbally ordered them to remove the fence they place around their 6-dunum plot of land planted with olive trees.

He said the soldiers told them they have six hours to remove the fence.

This is the second time the same farmers are ordered to remove the fence placed to protect their land and crops. No reason was given for the order to remove the fence.

Israeli occupation forces raid hospital in search of Palestinian youth they had shot and injured

Israeli occupation forces last night raided Makassed Hospital on the Mount of Olives in occupied East Jerusalem in search of a youth they had earlier shot and critically injured during clashes in Silwan neighborhood, according to medical and local sources.

Silwan youths clashed with the Israeli forces that raided the neighborhood in large numbers and provoked the local Palestinian population.

The forces fired teargas canisters at the youths and homes in the over-crowded neighborhood as the youth set fire to a pole where the forces had installed surveillance cameras to watch the people in Silwan.

They also attacked a truck that shoot skunk water after arriving in the neighborhood to spray the homes and streets with the foul water.

Witnesses also said youths threw fire bombs at vehicles used by the raiding Israeli forces.

Medical sources said a youth was brought to Makassed hospital with critical wounds after he was shot by the Israeli forces in Silwan.

Shortly after, the forces raided the hospital in search of the youth and went through all the floors of the hospital causing panic and concern among the dozens of patients getting treatment at the hospital.

Weather: Hot conditions continue with temperature 2 C above the seasonal average

Weather today in Palestine is hot in most districts and very hot in the Jordan Valley in daytime with temperature remaining 2°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 21°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 29°C and a low of 20°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A rise in temperature is expected tomorrow, Sunday, which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average.

No change in weather conditions are expected for Monday, but a drop in temperature is expected on Tuesday, which nevertheless remains at 2°C above the seasonal average, said the PMD, which warned people against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to areas with dry grass.

Coronavirus data shows decline in daily new cases in Palestine

Daily data of coronavirus new cases and deaths in Palestine showed a decline.

Minister of Health Mai Alkaila said in her daily report on coronavirus in Palestine that 52 new cases were recorded in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours and one death, along with 133 patients recovering.

In the West Bank, eight new coronavirus cases were confirmed in 24 hours and no deaths, while 13 patients have recovered.

Alkaila said 16 people diagnosed with coronavirus are getting treatment in hospitals, while seven are in intensive care and two are connected to ventilators.

She also said 453,468 people were vaccinated against the corona disease in the West Bank and 87,890 in the Gaza Strip.
