Digitalization is advancing rapidly. According to Peng, through a range of activities over the past year, such as on-cloud exhibition and online award presentation, he experienced first-hand how digitalization boosts efficiency and service experience. Within the industry, self-driving vehicles, smooth 5G connectivity on 350 km/h high-speed trains, and 360 degree free-view video all indicate that we are entering a digital world. He believes that, in the near future, technological innovation will satisfy humanity’s pursuit of superior experiences and create more possibilities.

Digital technology keeps breaking boundaries. At Huawei Connect 2021, Huawei published Intelligent World 2030 Report. In this report, Huawei predicts that by 2030, globally, there will be more than 200 billion connections, as all things will be connected with intelligence; and there will be 1.6 billion fiber broadband subscribers. Further on, we will explore the human brain, in an effort to unlock human intelligence mysteries and break biological limits using digital technologies. And we will also explore outer space and deep ocean, and use next-generation networks to build future cities and break the boundaries of space.

In his speech, Peng raised a question: If we look at today from the perspective of the next decade, what should we be doing right now to evolve our networks and seize the opportunities of digitalization? He mentioned that Huawei released the GUIDE model last year, which consists of Gigabit everywhere, Ultra-automation, Intelligent multi-cloud connection, Differentiated Experience, and Environmental Harmony. These are the five key aspects for guiding network evolution into the coming digital age. Today, Huawei is expanding the definition of the GUIDE model. “We are proposing GUIDE IS NOW today,” said Peng, “which we define as building ubiquitous gigabit connectivity, speeding up ultra-automation to address uncertainties, providing intelligent computing and networks as a service, offering differentiated experiences on demand, and enabling sustainability with green ICT.” GUIDE creates a three-layer business development blueprint:

BOBBIE CELLER AND EMERGENCY RECOVERY, INC. FILE LAWSUIT AGAINST GEICO FOR DEFAMATION

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla., March 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Bobbie Celler and his company Emergency Recovery, Inc. (“ERI”) sued GEICO after it issued a press release stating that Celler and ERI engaged in fraudulent conduct.

GEICO’s press release was issued after it filed a lawsuit against Celler and ERI alleging they were engaged in a deceptive scheme against GEICO. The lawsuit was dismissed twice by a judge as having no legal basis against Celler and ERI. GEICO ultimately dismissed the lawsuit.

GEICO’s actions and press release caused and continues to cause financial damage to Celler and ERI.

التصوّر الخاطئ رقم 1: أنشطة قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات تُسهم في زيادة الانبعاثات الكربونية. أشار تقرير SMARTer2030 الصادر عن المبادرة العالمية للاستدامة الإلكترونية ( GeSI ) إلى أنّه من المتوقع أن تُشكّل الانبعاثات الكربونية الناجمة عن أنشطة قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات نسبة 1,97٪ فقط من الانبعاثات الكربونية على مستوى العالم بحلول عام 2030. والأمر الأكثر أهمية من ذلك هو أنّه من المتوقع أن يُسهم استخدام تقنيات تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في أنشطة القطاعات الأخرى في تقليل الانبعاثات الكربونية الناجمة عنها بنسبة 20٪؛ وهي نسبة تُعادل 10 أضعاف الانبعاثات الكربونية الناجمة عن أنشطة قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات. ويُطلق على تقليل معدّلات الانبعاثات الكربونية “تقليل البصمة الكربونية”؛ وقد أدّت مساهمة البنية التحتية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات في تقليل البصمة الكربونية إلى إيلائها مزيد من الاهتمام في العديد من الإستراتيجيات الوطنية. وتتوقع شركة هواوي أن تصل السعة التخزينية السحابية للبيانات إلى 1 يوتابايت بحلول عام 2030؛ وهو ما يعني أنّه يمكن تخفيض الانبعاثات الكربونية بحوالي 150 مليون طن كل عام في حالة تزويد البنية التحتية الحالية لتكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات بشبكات ألياف ضوئية متكاملة وأكثر مراعاة للبيئة. وهذا المقدار من الانخفاض في الانبعاثات الكربونية يُعادل الانخفاض الناتج عن زراعة 200 مليون شجرة، وهو عدد يمكن أن يكون مماثلًا لعدد الأشجار في جميع غابات أوروبا.

التصوّر الخاطئ رقم 3: التنمية الخضراء تعتمد فقط على مصادر الطاقة المتجدّدة. لا شكّ أنّ تطوير الطاقة الشمسية وطاقة الرياح أمر مهمّ للتنمية الخضراء في قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، لكن يمكننا أيضًا إحراز تقدّم كبير في مجال التنمية الخضراء من خلال استخدام أساليب منهجية في ترشيد استهلاك شبكات الاتصالات للطاقة. ولتحقيق ذلك، أطلقت شركة هواوي في هذا المنتدى حلًا أخضر ثلاثي الأبعاد (“المواقع والشبكات والعمليات الخضراء”) لترشيد استهلاك شبكات الاتصالات للطاقة بشكل منهجي ومساعدة شركات الاتصالات على زيادة وحدات “البت” وتقليل وحدات “الواط”.

التصوّر الخاطئ رقم 4: الوفورات الناجمة عن تخفيض استهلاك شبكة الاتصالات للطاقة يعادل مجموع وفورات الطاقة لجميع معدّاتها. إنّ الوفورات المتحققة من تخفيض استهلاك معدّة واحدة للطاقة لا يكفي لاتخاذ قرارات شاملة وقائمة على احتمالات مختلفة لتخطيط وبناء الشبكة بأكملها. لذا، فقد اقترحت شركة هواوي تصميم نظام مؤشرات قياسي موحد ( NCI ) لوضع سياسات لترشيد استهلاك الشبكات بأكملها للطاقة وتقييمها على نحوٍ دقيق، وذلك من خلال قياس مؤشرات ترشيد استهلاك الطاقة لمعدّات الاتصالات الأساسية، ومعدّات المواقع المساعدة، وشبكات النقل، ومراكز البيانات.

التصوّر الخاطئ رقم 5: ترشيد استهلاك الشبكة للطاقة يجب ألا يؤثر على أيّ مؤشر لأدائها.  في واقع الأمر، ينبغي أن تكون هناك موازنة بين ميزات ترشيد استهلاك الشبكة للطاقة وبعض مؤشرات أدائها. ومع ذلك، يمكن ترشيد استهلاك الطاقة على حساب أداء الشبكة في أوقات الذروة وبعض المؤشرات الأخرى، ولكن دون التأثير سلبًا على تجربة المستخدم الفعلية. فعلى سبيل المثال، في ألمانيا يُستخدم في مراكز التسوق حل ذكي لترشيد الاستهلاك عند منتصف الليل. وعلى الرغم من أنّ هذا الحل يُقلل من أداء الشبكة في أوقات الذروة بدرجة طفيفة، فإنّه يُقلل من استهلاك الموقع للطاقة بنسبة 10٪ دون التأثير على تجربة المستخدم.

وفي ختام كلمته، قدّم د. سونغ خمسة مقترحات لتعزيز التنمية الخضراء لقطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات، وقد فصّلها على النحو التالي: «أولًا: يجب علينا أن نعمل بقوة على تطوير قطاع تكنولوجيا المعلومات والاتصالات لتعزيز التنمية الخضراء للقطاعات الأخرى. ثانيًا: يجب أن نولي مزيدًا من الاهتمام بتخفيض الانبعاثات الكربونية الناجمة عن استخدام معدّات شبكات الاتصالات لا أن نهتم فقط بتخفيض الانبعاثات الناجمة عن عمليات تصنيعها. ثالثًا: سيساعد استخدام حل المنهجي الذي أطلقته شركة هواوي (“المواقع والشبكات والعمليات الخضراء”) شركات الاتصالات على تحسين قدرات شبكاتها على نحوٍ متواصل وتقليل الطاقة المستهلكة لكل بت، وزيادة وحدات “البت”، وتقليل وحدات “الواط”. رابعًا: يجب علينا تصميم نظام مؤشرات موحد لترشيد استهلاك الطاقة بهدف تحديد المشكلات الرئيسية المتعلقة باستهلاك الطاقة. خامسًا: يجب تحديد معدّل استهلاك الطاقة بناءً على تجربة المستخدم».

Huawei’s Guo Ping: Reshaping the technological paradigm in three areas to secure mid- to long-term competitiveness

BARCELONA, Spain, March 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — During MWC Barcelona 2022, Huawei’s Rotating Chairman Guo Ping spoke on the company’s plan to continue its globalization strategy and increase its strategic investment into foundational technologies. Existing theories and architectures are unable to support explosive growth in digital demand.

Forecasts show that over 50% of global GDP will be digitalized in 2022. As the global digital economy develops rapidly, the demand for digital products and services has exceeded expectations. Guo explained that as Shannon’s theorem and the von Neumann architecture continue hitting severe bottlenecks, the industry must explore new theories and architectures to reshape the technological paradigm to achieve digital sustainability.

Carbon reduction impacts the long-term vitality of the digital economy.

On carbon neutrality, Guo said, “Connectivity density and computing power determine the strength of the digital economy, but it should also maintain long-term vitality. So, we need to consider a new dimension, carbon reduction.”

Huawei currently adheres to a “More Bits, Less Watts” strategy in this area. In addition to improving its fundamental digital capabilities, Huawei has committed to making its products 2.7 times more energy efficient by making breakthroughs in areas like theories, materials, and algorithms. Through advances like these, the ICT industry is able to help other industries reduce their own carbon footprints. In fact, this reduction will be 10 times larger than the carbon footprint of the ICT industry itself.

Guo also said that Huawei is significantly increasing strategic investment into foundational technologies and working with its partners to reshape the technological paradigm in three areas: fundamental theories, architecture, and software. This investment is also notably focused on helping the company get closer to and maybe exceed Shannon’s Limit. By exploring new theories and technologies, like next-generation MIMO and wireless AI, Huawei is able to push its technologies ever closer to Shannon’s Limit. وأكد شهود عيان لـ”قدس برس”، أن “قوات الاحتلال اقتحمت بلدة يعبد (شمالا) واعتقلوا الطفلين عمر محمود صادق أبو بكر (14 عاما)، وعمار محمد أسعد أبو بكر (15 عاما)، كما احتجزوا، الفتى عبد الله جمال أبو بكر (16 عاما) وحققوا معه ميدانيا لساعات، قبل الإفراج عنه.
