قالت مجموعة “محامون من أجل العدالة” (تجمع حقوقي مستقل في الضفة)، مساء الثلاثاء، إن أجهزة أمن السلطة الفلسطينية أفرجت عن المعتقل السياسي أحمد خصيب، بعد 145 يومًا على اعتقاله، خاض خلالها إضرابًا عن الطعام.

وأوضحت المجموعة الحقوقية، في بيان مقتضب تلقته “قدس برس”، أن “المعتقل السياسي أحمد خصيب حر طليق في هذه الأثناء، بعد 31 يومًا من الإضراب عن الطعام احتجاجًا على اعتقاله السياسي”.

وأردفت أن “أحمد في طريق العودة إلى المستشفى لتلقي العلاج، بعد إعادته مساء اليوم الى السجن لتسجيل إجراءات الخروج والإفراج”، مؤكدةً أنه لا زال “بحاجة لرعاية طبية”.

من جهة أخرى، نشرت وسائل إعلام محلية صورة للمعتقل السياسي المحرر خصيب وهو يحمل طفلته البكر، مُنى، بين يديه، قائله إنه يحتضن طفلته لأول مرة، حيث ولدت في شهر أيلول/سبتمبر وهو في سجون السلطة.

واعتقلت أجهزة أمن السلطة 10 فلسطينيين، في 6 حزيران/يونيو الجاري، على خلفية انفجار وقع في منجرة بمدينة بيتونيا غربي رام الله (وسط الضفة)، ليتم الإفراج عن أربعة منهم بعد أقل من شهر على اعتقالهم، بينهم صاحب المنجرة، بسبب عدم وجود أية أدلة تثبت صحة الادعاءات الموجهة لهم.

وبعد الإفراج عن خصيب، تُبقي الأجهزة الأمنية على كل من: أحمد هريش، ومنذر رحيب، وجهاد وهدان، وقسام حمايل، وخالد النوابيت، معتقلين في سجن بيتونيا، غربي رام الله، على ذات التهمة.

وتزعم الأجهزة الأمنية في الضفة الغربية أن المتهمين يسعون “للانقلاب على السلطة الفلسطينية”.

أظهر استطلاع رأي إسرائيلي نشرت نتائجه مساء الثلاثاء، تقلص الفجوة في عدد المقاعد بين حزب الليكود اليميني برئاسة زعيم المعارضة، بنيامين نتنياهو، وحزب يش عتيد “هناك مستقبل” بزعامة رئيس الحكومة المؤقتة، يائير لابيد.

وبيّن الاستطلاع الذي أجرته /القناة 13/ العبرية، والذي نشر قبل أسبوع من الانتخابات الإسرائيلية العامة، أن حزب الليكود، بقيادة نتنياهو، لا يزال الحزب الأكبر في “إسرائيل”، مع حصوله على 31 مقعدًا.

وأضاف أن حزب “يش عتيد”، بقيادة لابيد حصل على 27 مقعدًا، بزيادة 3 مقاعد عن استطلاع أجري الاثنين الماضي، ليتقلص الفارق بينه وبين حزب الليكود إلى أربعة مقاعد فقط.

وأشار إلى أن تحالف حزب “الصهيونية الدينية” مع حزب “القوة اليهودية” يأتي في المرتبة الثالثة بواقع 14 مقعدًا، بزياة مقعد واحد عن الاستطلاع السابق.

وأظهر الاستطلاع تراجع حزب “المعسكر الوطني”، بقيادة وزير الحرب في حكومة الاحتلال، بيني غانتس، إلى 11 مقعدًا، كما تراجعت حركة “شاس” الحريدية، بقيادة أرييه درعي، إلى ثمانية مقاعد مقابل سبعة أخرى يحصل عليها حزب “يهدوت هتوراة” للأشكناز (الحريديم الغربيين).

وأردف أن حزب العمل حصل على أربعة مقاعد، وحزب “إسرائيل بيتنا” على ستة مقاعد، فيما حصلت كل من قائمة “الجبهة العربية للتغيير” وحزب “ميرتس” اليساري و”القائمة العربية الموحدة” على 4 مقاعد.

وأجمل الاستطلاع أن معسكر نتنياهو يحصل على 60 مقعدًا، دون أن يتمكن من تشكيل ائتلاف حكومي بأغلبية 61 مقعدًا، مقابل 60 مقعدًا للمعسكر المناهض بقيادة يائير لابيد، مع القوائم العربية.

يذكر أن الانتخابات الإسرائيلية القادمة هي الخامسة في غضون أربع سنوات، دون استبعاد إجراء انتخابات سادسة؛ في ظل استعصاء وجود مرشح قادر على تجنيد 61 عضوًا على الأقل من أعضاء “الكنيست” (برلمان الاحتلال) الـ120 لتشكيل حكومة.

ويُلزم القانون الإسرائيلي حصول أحد المرشحين على دعم 61 نائبًا، لنيل ثقة “الكنيست”، وفي حال عدم تمكن أي من المرشحين من تجنيد العدد المطلوب من الأعضاء، فإن ذلك يعني العودة إلى صناديق الاقتراع مجددًا.

وتستعد دولة الاحتلال لخوض انتخابات الكنيست الـ 25، في الأول من تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر المقبل، وسط ترجيحات بتراجع نسبة مشاركة فلسطيني الداخل المحتل في هذه الانتخابات.

جدد “الملتقى الأردني الوطني لدعم المقاومة وحماية الوطن” (تجمع يضم أحزابًا وشخصيات ومؤسسات مجتمع مدني) رفضه لمعاهدة “وادي عربة”، ورفض كل الاستحقاقات التي فرضت على الأردن بعدها.

ودعا “الأردني الوطني” في بيان تلقته “قدس برس”، مساء الثلاثاء، “الشعب الأردني وقواه الحية” إلى “رفض كل أشكال التطبيع السياسي والاقتصادي والثقافي، الذي تحاول الحكومات المتعاقبة تسويقه مع الاحتلال الإسرائيلي”.

وشدد الملتقى، بمناسبة الذكرى الـ28 لتوقيع معاهدة “وادي عربة”، على أن “الخطر الأول والوحيد على الأردن والأمة هو المشروع الصهيوني”، وفق البيان.

وبيّن أن “أي محاولات لحرف بوصلة الصراع عن اتجاهها الرئيسي هي محاولات مشبوهة، وتخدم المخطط الأمريكي الصهيوني في المنطقة”.

وحث القوى الشعبية من أحزاب ونقابات ومؤسسات وطنية على “توحيد جهودها في مواجهة هذا النهج وسياساته”.

وطالب بـ”استمرار النضال الشعبي لإسقاط معاهدة وادي عربة، وكل الاتفاقيات الموقعة مع الكيان الصهيوني، وتحرير الأردن من كل الاستحقاقات التي فرضت عليه كنتيجة لتوقيعه على هذه المعاهدة”.

ودعا الملتقى إلى “المشاركة في الوقفة التي دعت لها الحملة الوطنية لإسقاط اتفاقية الغاز مع الاحتلال الإسرائيلي – غاز العدو احتلال (تجمع نقابي وحزبي) في ذكرى توقيع المعاهدة”، مشيرًا إلى أن الفعالية ستعقد يوم غدٍ الأربعاء أمام وزارة الطاقة والثروة المعدنية الأردنية.

شنت قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، فجر اليوم الأربعاء، حملة اعتقالات واسعة، طالت 20 فلسطينيًا، بالضفة الغربية ومدينة القدس.

واقتحمت قوات الاحتلال، عدة أحياء من مدينة نابلس (شمال الضفة)، واعتقلت 4 مواطنين.

وأفادت مصادر محلية، بأن قوة عسكرية اسرائيلية اقتحمت أحياء عدة من المدينة وداهمت أحد المنازل في منطقة “خلة العمود” واعتقلت المواطن إياد النابلسي، وهو شقيق الشهيد ابراهيم النابلسي.

وحاصرت قوات الاحتلال منزل عائلة الشهيد أدهم مبروكة (الشيشاني) في الحي النمساوي، واعتقلت عمه.

كما داهمت منزل عائلة البدوي في حي المخفية، واعتقلت سيف البدوي بعد أن أخضعته للتحقيق الميداني.

وفي قرية عراق بورين جنوب نابلس، اعتقلت قوات الاحتلال المواطن كريم ياسر قادوس.

وفي جنين (شمال) اعتقلت قوات الاحتلال المحرر محمود علاونة، وأحمد ملايشة، وفرحات محمد علاونة، وأنس وليد فواخرية، وبشار أحمد كنعان، من جبع قضاء المدينة.

وشملت الاعتقالات أيضا، الفتيين أيهم ووديع عناية من بلدة عزون شرق قلقيلية (شمال)، وعبدو الرجبي من الخليل (جنوب)، وباسل معن النمورة من دورا جنوب الخليل.

كما طالت الاعتقالات طلال العمور وسند طلال العمور، وأحمد فلاح ديرية من بيت لحم (جنوب)، وفق مصادر محلية.

وفي القدس اعتقلت قوات الاحتلال، كريم أبو جمل عقب اقتحام منزله في بلدة جبل المكبر، والشاب أشرف برقان من بلدة سلوان جنوب المسجد الأقصى المبارك.

كما اعتقل الاحتلال الشابين المقدسيين عبدالله الشيخ وإبراهيم أبو عيد، من بلدة بدّو شمال غرب المدينة.

وعادة ما ينفذ جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي اعتقالاته بمداهمات ليلية لمنازل الفلسطينيين، وينقلهم إلى مراكز توقيف في الأراضي المحتلة، قبل نقلهم إلى أقبية التحقيق أو السجون.

وبلغ عدد الأسرى والمعتقلين الفلسطينيين في سجون الاحتلال حتى نهاية أيلول/سبتمبر الفائت، نحو أربعة آلاف و700 أسير، من بينهم 30 أسيرة، وقرابة 190 قاصرًا، و800 معتقل إداري، وفق مؤسسات معنية بشؤون الأسرى.

زعم جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، أن قواته وجهاز المخابرات العامة (الشاباك)، تمكنت من اعتقال الفلسطيني، منفذ عملية الطعن في قرية الفندق شرقي قلقليلية (شمال الضفة الغربية) مساء الثلاثاء، والتي اسفرت عن إصابة مستوطن بجراح ما بين متوسطة وخطيرة.

وقال موقع الأخبار العبري /0404/ إن المستوطن أصيب في الجزء العلوي من جسده، وتم نقله إلى مركز “شيبا” الطبي في “تل هشومير” قرب “تل أبيب” (وسط الأراضي المحتلة عام 48).

واشار إلى أن الفلسطيني منفذ العملية، تمكن من الفرار من مكان العملية، وجرى اعتقاله بعد عمليات تفتيش مكثفة ونشاط استخباراتي من قبل “الشاباك” وفق ادعائه.

وأضاف الموقع أنه تم تسليم منفذ عملية الطعن إلى الأجهزة الأمنية للتحقيق معه.

وتشهد الضفة الغربية حالة من التوتر الشديد، في أعقاب العملية العسكرية التي شنها الاحتلال على مدينة نابلس فجر الثلاثاء، والتي اسفرت عن استشهاد خمسة فلسطينيين.

The Palestinian owner of a shack in the town of Deir Ballout, west of the northern West Bank city of Salfit, was ordered by the Israeli military to tear it down, today said local sources.

An Israeli army force handed a Deir Ballout resident an order to demolish the shack, which he uses for agricultural purposes, under the pretext it was built without a permit in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under Israeli military control.

Another resident of Deir Ballout was also informed by the military not to build any structures on his land, said the sources.

Palestinian Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh today said, in response to statements by Israel’s premier Yair Lapid, in which he said that “President Mahmoud Abbas must have control on the ground if he wants stability in his authority,” that the instability is due to the continuing dangerous escalation by the Israeli occupation forces and extremist settlers.

“The continuation of the killings, the storming of holy sites in Jerusalem and Hebron, and the unilateral measures taken by the Israeli occupation authorities are pushing the situation to the abyss,” said Abu Rudeineh in a statement. “Therefore, Israel must stop this escalation and the US administration must intervene and compel Israel to do so.”

Abu Rudeineh said the Israeli escalation, which led to the killing of six people in the last hours and the injury of more than 40 civilians, is what led to destabilization, whether what happened in Jenin or the siege of Nablus, stressing that the stability and security of the region depend on adherence to the international legitimacy and not to resort to unilateral measures.

The presidential spokesman stressed that there is no peace without Jerusalem and its holy sites, and no security or stability without the consent of the Palestinian people and their leadership, and that without ending the occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem and its holy places as its capital, President Abbas and the Palestinian people will not accept any solution at all, regardless of the pressures and challenges.

Israeli occupation forces today dismantled and seized two residential tents in the village of al-Jawwaya to the east of Yatta in southern Hebron after attacking the dwellers, including a 70-year-old man who was moderately injured, according to WAFA correspondent.

Israeli forces stormed the village of al-Jawwaya and dismantled two residential tents belonging to two Palestinian residents. Forces reportedly beat up the dwellers, causing bruises to an elderly man.

Forces further attacked residents with tear gas canisters, causing several people to suffocate.

One of the owners, Adham al-Shawahin told WAFA that the Israeli occupation has recently escalated its attacks against the Palestinian residents in villages and locales in Masafer Yatta area, including the demolition of homes and structures, banning Palestinians from building in the area, and depriving them from electricity and drinking water to get them to leave their homes and lands for the benefit of expanding illegal settlement outposts.

To be noted, the Israeli High Court on May 4 gave the army the green light to demolish 12 communities in Masafer Yatta and to displace over 1000 of their residents as part of a plan to seize their lands and homes under the pretext of turning the area into a firing zone for military training.

Palestine and the Arab region today witnessed a partial solar eclipse that lasted for two hours and 20 minutes.

The eclipse began at exactly one in the afternoon local time (10:00 GMT) from the top left of the sun, and then plunged south until it covered 33.6% of the sun in Jerusalem, 35.7% in the far north, and 29.8% in the far south of the country.

The Palestinian Astronomical Society said the peak of the partial eclipse was at 14:13 pm (11:13 GMT), and it ended at 15:20 pm (12:20 GMT).

The Astronomical Society noted that a partial solar eclipse occurs when the moon blocks only part of the sun; which will make it look as if a part has been removed from it. The percentage of eclipses varies depending on the location within the path of the eclipse on the globe.

Two Palestinians Tuesday afternoon sustained injuries from Israeli army gunfire in the southern West Bank city of Hebron, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that the heavily-armed Israeli soldiers stationed at the permanently-staffed checkpoint at the entrance of al-Shuhada Street violently dispersed protestors in the course of confrontations in Bab Az-Zawiya neighborhood, wounding two by live ammunition in their lower extremities.

One of the casualties was handcuffed and detained.

Meanwhile, the soldiers quelled a similar protest at the Ras al-Jora and Halhul Bridge areas, close to the northern entrance of the city, causing dozens to suffocate from tear gas inhalation.

The soldiers detained three protestors.

Renewed confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli forces erupted today across the occupied West Bank following the killing of six Palestinians; five in Nablus city and another in Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah.

Palestinians took to the streets in various parts of the West Bank denouncing the army assault into Nablus that left five Palestinians killed and 21 others injured, including three critical, and the killing of a fifth in Nabi Saleh.

This came as Palestinians are observing a general strike in the occupied West Bank to mourn the six slain young men.

Shops were shuttered in all West Bank cities, schools and universities suspended studies and businesses shut down.

Two Palestinians Tuesday afternoon and evening sustained injuries from Israeli army gunfire in ongoing confrontations across the occupied West Bank.

In Ramallah district, a Palestinian the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said that its medics evacuated a young man who sustained an injury in the foot from a live round shot by Israeli soldiers in the course of confrontations at northern entrance of al-Bireh city.

They described his condition as light.

In Jerusalem, confrontations took place as police attacked a rally in Shufat refugee camp. However, there was not any injury.

In Bethlehem district, security sources confirmed that a young man was injured in the thigh by a live round shot by Israeli soldiers at the eastern entrance of Aida refugee camp, north of the southern West Bank city.

In Hebron district, Israeli soldiers used tear gas to disperse a similar rally at the entrance of Beit Ummar town, north of the city, causing a number of participants to suffocate and faint, as reported by local media activist Mohammad Awad.

All the suffocation cases were treated at the scene.

In the northern West Bank, confrontations broke out at the main entrance of Azzun town, which has been closed for over a week, east of Qalqiliya city.

The gun-toting soldiers fired volleys of stun grenades, tear gas canisters and rubber-coated steel bullets at the protestors. No injuries were reported though.

Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates today condemned the ongoing Israeli military incursions and aggression against Palestinian towns, the latest of which were dawn attacks against the cities of Nablus and Ramallah, said the official Jordanian Petra news agency,

It warned that the military escalation would lead to a new spiral of violence for which “everyone will pay a price.”

The violence will breed more violence, it said, warning that the Israeli raids into Palestinian cities and measures to perpetuate the occupation amid the persistent stalemate in the peace process, would push for a dangerous escalation, for which Israel will be responsible, threaten regional peace and stability and kill the last hope of achieving just peace, said the news agency.

It stressed the necessity that Israel halts all military operations against the Palestinians and all illegal measures that undermine the two-state solution and chances for peace, added Petra.

The Foreign Ministry called for “a prompt move by the international community to provide protection to the “brotherly” Palestinian people, and launch a real effort to achieve a just peace that ends the occupation and fulfills an independent Palestinian state with occupied Jerusalem as its capital on the lines of June 4, 1967, which lives in peace and security alongside Israel, on the basis of the two-state solution and relevant international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative,” said Petra.
