Russia announces that it considers all ships heading to Ukrainian ports across the Black Sea as potential military ones

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it will consider all ships sailing to Ukrainian ports across the Black Sea carrying military cargo, as of 9:00 GMT today, following the end of the grain export agreement.

The Ministry said in a statement on the Telegram application that it declares the southeastern and northwestern parts of international waters in the Black Sea “unsafe for navigation”, adding that “the countries whose flags are raised by ships heading to Ukrainian ports will be considered parties to the conflict on the side of Ukraine.”

Ukraine had announced, earlier today, that 60,000 tons of grain destined for export and stored in the port of Chornomorsk near Odessa were damaged in Russian bombing last night, pointing out that the process of fully repairing the damaged infrastructure requires at least a year.
