Weather forecast: Unseasonably low temperature, light rainfall expected

Weather today is partly cloudy and mild in daytime and relatively cold in the night, particularly in the mountains, with a significant drop of temperature, which approaches 5°C below the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light rainfall is expected in the north and center in daytime, and is set to continue to fall in the night accompanied by occasional thunderstorms. Moderate to strong westerly to southwesterly will prevail in daytime, and moderate to occasionally strong northwesterly wind will prevail in the night. Sea waves are medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 10°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 17°C and a low of 9°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 17°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The partly cloudy and mild conditions in daytime and slightly to relatively cold conditions in the night continue on Friday with steady temperature. The chance remains for sporadic rainfall until midday.

Saturday’s temperature is set to significantly rise, but remains unseasonably low, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and moderate conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in the night.

A further significant rise of temperature is expected on Sunday, approaching 3°C above the seasonal average and paving the way to mainly clear and relatively hot to hot conditions in daytime and warm conditions in the night. Strong easterly wind will pick up.
