Weather forecast: Very hot and dry conditions to prevail

Weather today is hot to very hot, dry and hazy in daytime with a rise of temperature, which approaches 6°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Relatively cold conditions in the mountains and mild conditions in other districts are expected in nighttime. Light to moderate southeasterly to southwesterly wind blows in daytime, and moderate to occasionally strong westerly to southwesterly wind blows in the night. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 13°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 30°C and a low of 12°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 39°C and a low of 20°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 17°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Wednesday’s temperature is set to plummet and approach 3°C below the seasonal average, paving the way to clear to partly cloudy and mild conditions, particularly in the mountains. Chance of drizzle in the north and center is expected.

An additional drop of temperature is expected on Thursday, approaching 5°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to partly cloudy and mild conditions in daytime, particularly in the mountains, and mild to relatively cold conditions in the night. The chance of drizzle to light rain remains in the north and center.
