A joint security force began searching the orchards of agricultural villages northeast of Baquba, Diyala Governorate Center.
A security source told the correspondent of the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) that “a joint security force carried out a sweeping operation in orchards of three liberated villages within the North Muqdadiya sector, northeast of Baquba and with the support of military engineering.
He added that the operation aims to prevent ISIS sleeper cells from finding a foothold in the area and to search for any hideout.
