Thousands of Palestinians Friday afternoon attended the funeral procession of a slain Palestinian teen in Hindaza village, southeast of Bethlehem.

Thousands of mourners attended the funeral procession of 16-year-old Amjad Oussama Abu Sultan, who was killed near a military checkpoint in Beit Jala on October 14.

The funeral procession set off from the Beit Jala Government Hospital, made a stop at his family house in Hindaza, before being buried in a local cemetery in the nearby village of Beit Ta’mir.

Mourners marched in the procession, raising Palestine flags and shouting slogans condemning the Israeli occupation as the remains of Abu Sultan, wrapped with Palestine flag, were carried away.

The burial was made possible after the occupation authorities successfully released the remains of Abu Sultan on November 20.

Abu Sultan was gunned down by Israeli forces after he allegedly lit a Molotov cocktail in Beit Jala, west of Bethlehem near Route 60, a main north-to-south route in the occupied West Bank, according to information gathered by Defense for Children International – Palestine (DCIP).

DCIP maintained that Israeli forces fired the bullets without any warning or alert before shooting him and slammed the killing as “unlawful”.

“Israeli forces routinely unlawfully kill Palestinian children with impunity, using excessive force and unjustified intentional lethal force,” said Ayed Abu Eqtaish, accountability program director at DCIP. “If a child is suspected of committing a criminal act, they should be apprehended in accordance with international standards and afforded due process of law.”

“Israeli authorities’ practice of confiscating and withholding Palestinian bodies is a violation of international humanitarian law and international human rights law, which include absolute prohibitions on cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment, as well as stipulate that parties of an armed conflict must bury the deceased in an honorable way. For families, the practice amounts to collective punishment in violation of international humanitarian law,” it added.

Sada Social Center, which specializes in protecting the Palestinian narrative on social media platforms, said yesterday it has launched a campaign urging users worldwide to give Facebook a one-star review in the Apple and Google app stores over the social media giant’s ongoing censorship of Palestinian digital content.

The campaign called on activists in Palestine and the rest of the world to lower Facebook’s ratings through Apple Store and Google, stressing the importance of this step in drawing Facebook’s attention to the fury of the Palestinian public due to its bias with the Israeli occupation, its unfairness against the Palestinian cause, and its targeting of journalists, activists, and freedoms in general.

Last week, thousands of users tweeted using the hashtag #FbCensorsJerusalem to express their resentment over the massive censorship by Facebook of pro-Palestinian digital content and for its prompt response to requests by the Israeli occupation demanding removal or restriction of such content.

The campaign received widespread interaction in Palestine and elsewhere, as the hashtag in English reached more than 10 million interactions via Twitter and Instagram within 24 hours, while the interaction on the Arabic hashtag reached more than 2 million.

The scope of the interaction is expanding rapidly, as influential figures, media professionals, and politicians from all over the world participated in the campaign, amid calls to protect Palestinian content and stop the deletion and blocking spree that has stifled hundreds of Palestinian accounts and pages.

On Thursday, the campaign held a vigil against Facebook’s policies in Hebron City, in the southern West Bank.

The campaign and its organizers affirmed that they will continue until Facebook retracts its fight against Palestinian content and its double standards, and demanded a cancellation of the digital algorithms that favor the Israeli occupation and automatically remove Palestinian pages, accounts and posts.

Last month, a Human Rights Watch report accused Facebook of wrongfully removing and suppressing content by Palestinians and their supporters, including about human rights abuses carried out by Israel during the aggression on Gaza and Jerusalem in May this year.

“Facebook has suppressed content posted by Palestinians and their supporters speaking out about human rights issues in Israel and Palestine,” said Deborah Brown, senior digital rights researcher and advocate at Human Rights Watch.

“With the space for such advocacy under threat in many parts of the world, Facebook censorship threatens to restrict a critical platform for learning and engaging on these issues.”

At least six Palestinians were injured by Israeli occupation forces today during the weekly protest against Israeli settlement construction, which takes place on a weekly basis in the village of Kafr Qaddum in the northern West Bank.

Witnesses told WAFA that Israeli soldiers attacked the protesters by rubber-coated rounds and teargas, injuring six of them and causing many cases of suffocation from gas inhalation.

Some of the injured were treated at the scene while others were moved to hospital for treatment.

For years, villagers from Kafr Qaddum and neighboring villages have been protesting every Friday against illegal Israeli settlements, and to call on Israeli authorities to reopen the village’s main road, which has been sealed off by the occupation authorities since 2002.

In the meantime, dozens of Palestinian civilians sustained suffocation from gas inhalation during a protest against Israeli colonial settlement construction in the village of Beit Dajan, in the West Bank province of Nablus.

Minister of Transport Assem Salem called today upon the International Civil Aviation Organization and the Arab Civil Aviation Organization to urgently intervene to stop the construction of an Israeli settlement neighborhood on the land of the Qalandia Airport in occupied Jerusalem.

In a statement today, Salem said Israel’s approval of the construction of more than 9,000 settlement housing units on the land of the airport was a provocative step that adds to the ongoing attacks by Israeli army and settlers on the Palestinian people, including on schoolchildren.

“The policy of demolishing homes and facilities in the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem, is ethnic cleansing aimed at displacing Palestinian citizens from their homes to replace them with settlers,” Salem said.

He said these developments coincide with the 20th anniversary of Israel’s destruction of the Yasser Arafat International Airport and the Gaza sea port, describing the new settler neighborhood as a continuation of the aggression and a disregard for international laws.

“Qalandia Airport is located within the pre-1967 borders and is one of the oldest airports in the Middle East. It was established before the so-called occupation state was established, as it was established in 1924 and is a symbol of Palestinian national sovereignty.”

The Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) today condemned the recently signed agreement between Israel and Morocco that lays the foundation for security cooperation, intelligence sharing, and future arms sales.

“We hoped that the Kingdom of Morocco, which chairs the Al-Quds Committee, would not take this dangerous step in light of the racist measures practiced by Israel against the Palestinian people, its disregard of all peace agreements, its rejection of negotiations and the two-state solution, and its imposition of a fait accompli policy,” read a PLO Executive Committee statement.

The statement added that “the continued settlement and forced displacement of occupied Jerusalem, the gradual annexation of Palestinian lands, and the prejudice to the Arab and Islamic identity of Jerusalem and its sanctities” were reasons why Morocco should not have signed the agreement.

“This agreement constitutes a departure from what was stipulated in the Arab League summits, the Arab consensus, and the Arab Peace Initiative,” the PLO Executive Committee pointed out, adding that the agreement was “harmful to Arab national security and the interests of the Arab nation.”

The statement urged Morocco to cancel this agreement, saying that any departure by an Arab country from the Arab Peace Initiative, which stipulated that normalization comes after ending the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian and Arab lands, is unacceptable and a reward for the occupation.

The European Union reiterated today its call on the Israeli occupation authorities to halt demolitions and any other unlawful practices that force Palestinians out of their homes, saying such demolitions significantly undermine the prospects for peace.

On 23 November, 22 Palestinians, including 15 children, lost their homes when the Israeli occupation authorities destroyed and confiscated several dwellings, tents, livestock enclosures, and buildings under construction in the occupied West Bank.

“We reiterate our call to halt demolitions and any other unlawful practices that coerce Palestinians out of their homes. Demolitions are illegal under international law and significantly undermine the prospects for peace,” the EU tweeted.

According to the UN-OCHA, 21% more structures were demolished or seized by the Israeli occupation authorities and 28% more people were displaced in the first nine months of 2021 compared to the equivalent period in 2020.

اتفق وزير الاقتصاد الفلسطيني خالد العسيلي، ووزير التجارة التركي محمد موش، اليوم الخميس، على ضرورة زيادة حجم التبادل التجاري بين البلدين، ومساعدة الحكومة الفلسطينية في الانفكاك التدريجي عن اقتصاد الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، خاصة في توفير المنتجات والسلع التي لا يتوفر لها بديل وطني.

جاء ذلك خلال لقاء جمعمها، اليوم الخميس، على هامش اجتماع الدورة الـ37 للدول الأعضاء في اللجنة الدائمة للتعاون الاقتصادي والتجاري لمنظمة التعاون الإسلامي “كومسيك” في مدينة اسطنبول التركية.

واتفق الجانبان، على تشجيع المستثمرين من تركيا والدول الإسلامية للاستثمار في فلسطين، وتقديم كل أشكال الدعم اللازمة لتعزيز صمود المقدسيين.

وأبدى الجانب التركي استعداده التام والجاهزية لدعم فلسطين في مختلف المجالات، خاصة زيادة حجم التجارة بين البلدين، وتقديم الدعم الفني في مجال حماية الملكية الفكرية، بما فيها المؤشرات الجغرافية.

وأعرب العسيلي عن شكره وتقديره لمواقف تركيا رئيسًا وحكومةً وشعبًا، ودعمها المستمر للقضية الفلسطينية في مختلف المجالات، وآخرها اعتماد الرئيس التركي رجب طيب إردوغان المنطقة الصناعية الحرة في جنين كأول منطقة صناعية تتبناها الحكومة التركية خارج حدودها السيادية.

وثمن قرار تركيا بزيادة كوتة التمور الفلسطينية المعفاة من الجمارك إلى السوق التركية من ألف طن إلى 3 آلاف طن سنوياً.

وناقش الجانبان مخرجات اللجنة الاقتصادية التركية الفلسطينية المشتركة، والتي بموجبها تم الاتفاق على زيادة التبادل التجاري بين البلدين وتعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي وتقديم تسهيلات في مجال إدخال المنتجات الفلسطينية الزراعية والزراعية المصنعة إلى السوق التركي بإعفاء كامل.

واتفق الجانبان في نهاية اللقاء على عقد الاجتماع الثاني للمجلس الاقتصادي والاجتماعي وفق القنوات الدبلوماسية المتبعة بين البلدين.

وجرى اللقاء بحضور كل من سها عوض الله مدير عام العلاقات الدولية في الوزارة، والمستشارة الاقتصادية والتجارية في السفارة رنا أبو صيبعة، ومن العلاقات الدولية في الوزارة إسراء ملحم.

شارك المئات من الأردنيين، اليوم الخميس، في الوقفة الاحتجاجية التي دعت لها الحركة الإسلامية في محافظة الزرقاء، مطالبين برحيل الحكومة.

وتأتي هذه الفعالية ضمن سلسلة فعاليات دعت لها الحركة الإسلامية رداً على توقيع الحكومة في معرض إكسبو 2020 دبي، إعلان نوايا عام بين الأردن والإمارات والاحتلال الإسرائيلي، للدخول في عملية تفاوضية للبحث في جدوى مشروع مشترك للطاقة والمياه.

رحيل الحكومة

وطالب القيادي في الحركة الإسلامية أيمن أبو الرّب، برحيل “حكومة بشر الخصاونة، وذلك على خلفية توقيعها اتفاقية النوايا مع الاحتلال الإسرائيلي”، وأعرب عن “خطورة تنامي التطبيع مع الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بصورةٍ خطيرة ومتدحرجة”.

ووجه أبو الرب “التحية لشباب الأردن الذين انتفضوا منذ الساعة الأولى لإعلان اتفاق التطبيع مع الاحتلال، خاصة أولئك الذين اعتقلتهم الحكومة في قرارات أمنية غير مقبولة”.

الصمت لم يعد مجدياً

من جانبه، قال النائب خير أبو صعيليك: إنه “لم يعد الصمت مجدياً عمّا تقوم به الحكومات المتعاقبة إزاء التعاون مع الاحتلال الإسرائيلي”.

وأضاف في تصريحٍ خاص لـ”قدس برس” أنه “من المستحيل أن نقبل رهن الغاز والماء والكهرباء، بيد الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، هؤلاء أهل خيانة معرفون على مر التاريخ، فكيف نسلمهم رقابنا بهذا الشكل”.

وشدد على “وجود العديد من الخيارات لدى الحكومة قبل أن تتوجه إلى أي طرف خارج الأردن، فضلاً عن ذلك، فإن الاتفاقية تمت دون الرجوع لمجلس النواب، وهذا أمر مرفوض رفضاً قاطعاً، وسيكون لنا موقف في المجلس ضد هذه القرارات والخطوات التطبيعية”.

إلى ذلك، نفذت القوى الطلابية في جامعة اليرموك وقفة احتجاجية أمام مبنى عمادة شؤون الطلبة، مساء اليوم الخميس، رفضاً لاتفاقية الماء مقابل الكهرباء التي وقعتها حكومة الخصاونة مع الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.

وندد الطلبة بالاتفاقية التي اعتبروها “محاولة فرض التطبيع على الشعب الأردني، من خلال توقيع الاتفاقيات مثل الغاز والماء مقابل الكهرباء”.

ورفض المشاركون في الوقت ذاته “محاولات تمرير الاتفاقية من قبل الحكومة على أنها لمصلحة الأردن”، مطالبين بوقف “كافة أشكال التطبيع مع الاحتلال”.

أردنيون ضد التطبيع

ورداً على اتفاقية النوايا التي تنص على الماء مقابل الكهرباء، أطلق ناشطون على منصات التواصل، حملة “أردنيون ضد التطبيع”، ودعوا من خلالها الشعب الأردني إلى المشاركة في العاصفة الالكترونية التي ستنطلق الساعة الثامنة مساء اليوم الخميس، عبر هاشتاج #أردنيون ضد التطبيع.

يذكر أن عدداً من طلبة الجامعات الأردنية نفذوا وقفات احتجاجية رفضاً لإعلان نوايا عام بين الأردن والإمارات والاحتلال الإسرائيلي، للدخول في عملية تفاوضية للبحث في جدوى مشروع مشترك للطاقة والمياه.

وعلمت “قدس برس” أن عدداً من أهالي الطلبة الموقوفين على خلفية المشاركة في وقفات احتجاجية رافضة للاتفاق، أبلغوا عند مراجعة مراكز التوقيف بإلغاء قرار التكفيل (دفع الكفالة) الذي صدر ظهر اليوم الخميس.

وقال شقيق أحد الموقوفين في منشور عبر “فيسبوك”: إن عائلات الموقوفين قامت بدفع رسوم الكفالة وإصدارها، لكنهم أبلغوا بإيقاف التكفيل.

ووقّع الأردن والاحتلال الإسرائيلي على هامش معرض إكسبو في دبي، يوم الإثنين الماضي، إعلان نوايا للتعاون في إنتاج الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية وتحلية المياه.

وتنص الاتفاقية على أن يعمل الأردن على توليد الكهرباء من الطاقة الشمسية لصالح الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، بينما سيعمل الاحتلال على تحلية المياه لصالح الأردن الذي يعاني من الجفاف.

أقر قائد “المنطقة الجنوبية” في جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، إليعازر توليدانو، بعجز جيش الاحتلال عن التعامل، مع صواريخ المقاومة الفلسطينية.

وقال توليدانو لصحيفة “يسرائيل هيوم”: “لا يوجد حاليا حل للتهديد الذي تشكله صواريخ حماس في قطاع غزة”، مشيرا إلى أن “الجيش يعمل من أجل إيجاد حل لهذا التهديد، وهذا قد يستغرق وقتا”.

واضاف في مقابلة ستنشر غدا الجمعة، ونشرت أجزاء منها اليوم الخميس: “من المستحيل خنق قطاع غزة الذي يبلغ عدد سكانه مليوني نسمة، وأنه يؤيد تحسين الوضع المدني للسكان هناك باعتبار ذلك مصلحة إسرائيلية”.

وكشف توليدانو، عن ركيزتين أساسيتين للاستراتيجية التي يتم اتباعها حاليًا تجاه غزة، تقوم على “ضمان الأمن لأكبر وقت ممكن، وتحسين الحياة المدنية للسكان”، مع “ضمان حرمان حماس من قدراتها العسكرية، دون إضعاف المكونات المدنية”.

وأثار ضعف منظومة قبة الاحتلال للتعامل مع الصواريخ، جدلا واسعا خلال كعركة “سيف القدس”، وقدر خبراء ومتابعون أن نسبة نجاح القبة الحديدية التي يعوّل عليها الاحتلال، لم تتجاوز 40 في المئة، خلال العدوان الإسرائيلي الأخير على القدس وغزة.

أكد ما يسمى منسق شؤون جائحة كورونا لدى الاحتلال، سلمان زرقا، أن “إسرائيل” تواجه حاليا موجة كورونا خامسة.

وأعرب زرقا للقناة 11 العبرية، عن أمله في أن تكون الموجة “صغيرة يمكن التغلب عليها”.

وأبدت مصادر في وزارة صحة الاحتلال للقناة، قلقها من تفشي الفيروس بسرعة خلال ما يسمى بعيد الأنوار “حانوكا” العبري، الذي يبدا الأسبوع القادم، إضافة إلى الأعياد المسيحية القريبة.

وأضافت أنه إذا استمر ارتفاع معدلات الإصابة؛ فستتم دراسة إعادة فرض قيود صحية على التجمهرات.

وقال مدير قسم كورونا في مستشفى هداسا الإسرائيلي، درور مفوراخ، إن معدلات الإصابة تشهد بأننا في بدء موجة جديدة.

من جانبه؛ رأى المدير العام السابق لـ”صحة” الاحتلال، حيزي ليفي، أن الاعتقاد باننا قد انتصرنا على الجائحة غير صحيح اطلاقًا.

ومدد ما يُسمى بـ”كابينيت كورونا” الليلة الماضية القيود المفروضة على التجمهر داخل الأماكن المغلقة والأنظمة الخاصة بالشارة الخضراء حتى التاسع من الشهر القادم دون تغيير، رغم ارتفاع مؤشر تكاثر العدوى.

وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن المعطيات التي نشرتها وزارة صحة الاحتلال، حول أعداد الإصابات بكورونا، تشير إلى أن معدل الإصابات اليومي مستمر في الارتفاع، حيث تم أمس رصد 603 حالات إصابة جديدة.

أدانت حركة المقاومة الإسلامية “حماس”، اليوم الخميس، قرار أستراليا بتصنيف حزب الله في لبنان منظمة إرهابية.

وقال الناطق باسم “حماس”، حازم قاسم”، في تصريح مكتوب وصل “قدس برس” نسخة منه، إن القرار “خضوع للإرادة الصهيونية، واستجابة لضغوط كيان العدو المارق”.

وأكد قاسم، أن القرار “انحياز صارخ للاحتلال، وتغطية لإرهابه وعدوانه المستمر ضد أمتنا العربية والإسلامية، وفي مقدمتها لبنان وسوريا وفلسطين”.

وبين أن “مقاومة حزب الله للاحتلال، وقيامه بواجبه الإنساني والديني والوطني والأخلاقي في مواجهة محاولات العربدة الإسرائيلية، ودفاعه عن شعبه وأرضه من التغول الصهيوني”، هو فعل بديهي ومشروع لدى كل القوانين الدولية والأعراف الإنسانية والوطنية.

وأشار قاسم إلى أن تصنيف قوى المقاومة الفلسطينية والعربية كمنظمات إرهابية من بعض الدول، يشجع الكيان الصهيونى ويعطيه الغطاء لتصعيد جرائمه ضد الشعوب العربية، وهو ما “يجعل هذه الدول تحتل مكان الشريك الكامل في جرائم الاحتلال من جهة، ويهدد الأمن والسلم في المنطقة والعالم من جهة أخرى”.

وشدد على أن المقاومة الفلسطينية والعربية، وفي مقدمتها حركة المقاومة الإسلامية “حماس” وحزب الله، “تقوم بواجبها الطبيعي والمبدئي في مقاومة الاحتلال الغاشم، ومواجهة وجوده على الأرض العربية بكل الوسائل، بالرغم من مثل هذه القرارات الجوفاء التي لن تثني شعوبنا ومقاومتنا عن خيارها”.

وصنّفت السلطات الأسترالية، الأربعاء، حزب الله “منظمة إرهابية”، ليشمل التصنيف الجناح السياسي للحزب ومؤسساته المدنية، بعد أن كان يقتصر على الجناح العسكري.

ورأت وزيرة الداخلية الاسترالية، كارين أندروز، أن حزب الله “يشكّل تهديداً حقيقياً لأستراليا”.

وتحظر السلطات الأسترالية بعض مؤسسات الحزبالتابعة للجناح العسكري، منذ عام 2003.
