EU expresses regret over killing of six Palestinians during Israeli aggression in West Bank

The European Union today expressed its regret over the killing of six Palestinians during an Israeli occupation’s aggression on the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and al-Bireh, in the occupied West Bank.

Responding to questions by reporters in the Kuwaiti News Agency (KUNA) at a press conference in Brussels, European Spokesman for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Peter Stano affirmed that the European Union “is closely following up on developments in the occupied territories and the West Bank.”

He said that the unrest, provocations, and violence will continue until a new vision and solution for resolving problems is found, expressing regret over the loss of lives, particularly the innocent.

“We have always said that these events will continue until an appropriate solution is found,” Stano added.

He stressed that the “issues that we continuously discuss underscore the necessity of returning to peace talks between the Israelis and the Palestinians, in order to reach an appropriate solution that serves the interests of citizens on both sides.”
