A total of 3,179 building licenses were issued in the fourth quarter of 2021, of which 1,940 are new buildings, an increase of 11% compared with the third quarter of 2021 and an increase of 16% compared with the fourth quarter of 2020, today said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
It said the number of new building licenses increased by 9% compared with the third quarter of 2021 and increased by 8% compared with the fourth quarter of 2020.
The total number of licensed dwellings was 6,340, of which 4,935 were new dwellings and 1,405 were existing dwellings.
The number of new dwellings in the fourth quarter of 2021 increased by 11% compared with the third quarter of 2021 and increased by 14% compared with the fourth quarter of 2020.
