Indian Ambassador to Palestine dies at his workplace in Ramallah

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced today the death of the Indian Ambassador to the State of Palestine, Mukul Arya, at his workplace in Ramallah.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Maliki, extended his heartfelt and sincere condolences to his Indian counterpart, Subramaniam Haishankar, the friendly Indian government, and to the family of Ambassador Arya and his relatives.

The Ministry made its official contacts with the Indian Foreign Ministry to complete the arrangements for transporting the body of the deceased ambassador to the Republic of India for his burial.

The ministry said that upon the arrival of this painful news, immediate instructions were issued by President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh, to all security, police, and public prosecution, in addition to the Ministry of Health and Forensic Medicine, to immediately move to the place of residence of the Indian ambassador, to closely monitor the case of death, stressing that all parties are fully prepared to do what is required of them in such difficult and emergency circumstances.
