The occupation arrests 15 citizens from the West Bank


Ramallah – Ma’an – From yesterday evening until Monday morning, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 15 citizens from the West Bank, including two children and former prisoners.

The Prisoners’ Club and the Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority said in a joint statement that the arrest operations were distributed among the governorates of: Bethlehem, Hebron, Ramallah, Jericho, Jerusalem, and Qalqilya, which witnessed a large raid, specifically in the town of Azzun, accompanied by field investigations with dozens of citizens.

The statement added that the occupation forces continue to carry out widespread acts of abuse during arrest operations, accompanied by severe beatings and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens’ homes.

He pointed out that the total number of arrests after the seventh of last October amounted to about (8,725), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints,
those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
