The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, stressed the need to redouble attention to Basra Governorate.
A statement by the Presidency of the Republic stated, “The President of the Republic met today with the Governor of Basra, Asaad Al-Eidani, and discussed with him the overall security, economic and political conditions in Iraq in general and Basra in particular. It is hoped that it will be implemented in Basra.”
The President of the Republic stressed “the necessity of doubling attention to the province and striving to revive its original economic and cultural status,” stressing that “Basra is rich in its resources, which are a basic pillar of the Iraqi economy, and it is necessary to provide support and care in a manner that guarantees the rights and needs of all its residents.”
For his part, Al-Eidani gave “an extensive explanation of the local government’s plans to provide services to its citizens, appreciating the support and interest of the President of the Republic in the province.”/ End
