Weather forecast: Typically summer conditions to prevail

Weather today is mainly clear and typically summer conditions with a drop of temperature, which remains 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows in daytime, and westerly wind blows in the night. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 15°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 24°C and a low of 14°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 34°C and a low of 20°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Friday’s temperature is set to significantly rise and approach 8°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to hot to very hot, dry and dusty conditions.

A further slight rise of temperature is expected on Saturday, approaching 9°C above the seasonal average, as the very hot and dry conditions continue to prevail. Wind will pick up in the evening and night hours, reaching 70 km/h.

Sunday’s temperature is set to plummet and become seasonal, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and mild conditions in daytime and slightly cold conditions in the night.
