Weather: The low-pressure front that affected the country is expected to continue bringing rain and thunderstorms

The low-pressure cold front that affected Palestine yesterday is expected to continue today bringing very cold conditions, rain and thunderstorms in most areas, and possibly hail, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to westerly, active and strong at times with gusts reaching 80 kilometers per hour, and sea waves are high.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 10°C and a low of 5°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 9°C and a low of 4°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 11°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

The low pressure is expected to decline tomorrow, Thursday, but the cold conditions and chance of rain continue in some areas of Palestine.

A chance of rain is expected also on Friday.

Palestine is expected to be affected by another low pressure on Saturday being rain, thunderstorms and hail, said the PMD, which warned of flood formation in low areas and valleys, mainly in the Jordan Valley, high winds, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility.
