WHY ROSEN LAW: We encourage investors to select qualified counsel with a track record of success in leadership roles. Often, firms issuing notices do not have comparable experience, resources or any meaningful peer recognition. Many of these firms do not actually litigate securities class actions, but are merely middlemen that refer clients or partner with law firms that actually litigate the cases. Be wise in selecting counsel. The Rosen Law Firm represents investors throughout the globe, concentrating its practice in securities class actions and shareholder derivative litigation. Rosen Law Firm has achieved the largest ever securities class action settlement against a Chinese Company. Rosen Law Firm was Ranked No. 1 by ISS Securities Class Action Services for number of securities class action settlements in 2017. The firm has been ranked in the top 4 each year since 2013 and has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for investors. In 2019 alone the firm secured over $438 million for investors. In 2020, founding partner Laurence Rosen was named by law360 as a Titan of Plaintiffs’ Bar. Many of the firm’s attorneys have been recognized by Lawdragon and Super Lawyers.

DETAILS OF THE CASE: According to the lawsuit, defendants throughout the Class Period made false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose that: (1) Syneos’ business development capabilities had been materially impaired by workforce reductions and leadership and operational changes, as well as labor force turmoil caused by the COVID-19 pandemic; (2) Syneos had struggled to integrate recent acquisitions, causing Syneos to suffer from a bloated and confused organizational structure and impairing Syneos’ ability to provide comprehensive or effective customer engagement across its product portfolio; (3) Syneos was suffering from acute competitive disadvantages as clinical trials moved to remote monitoring and decentralized administration, as Syneos lacked the tools possessed by some of its rivals to successfully run remote and decentralized trials, such as certain data visualization and statistical modeling capabilities, and Syneos had failed to adapt to changing business demands in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic; (4) Syneos’ backlog, book-to-bill ratios, and net new business awards had been artificially inflated by more than $500 million through the inclusion of reimbursable expenses that Syneos would never collect; (5) as a result of the above, Syneos was struggling to execute on its existing contracts and to agilely respond to its client needs, causing Syneos to suffer client dissatisfaction across its client base; and (6) consequently, Syneos was exposed to a material undisclosed risk that Syneos would lose customers, be unable to grow its client base or win significant contract renewals, and cede market share to its rivals. When the true details entered the market, the lawsuit claims that investors suffered damages.

Israeli woman shot dead in attack on car in southern West Bank

An Israeli woman has been killed and a man seriously wounded in a suspected Palestinian shooting attack on a car near Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Two dozen bullets were reportedly fired from a passing vehicle on a highway close to the settlement of Beit Hagai.

The woman has been named as Batsheva Nigri. A girl who was also in the car, said to be her daughter, was unharmed.

The Israeli military said its soldiers were pursuing the suspects and that roadblocks had been set up in the area.

Palestinian media reported they had encircled Hebron and were questioning Palestinians trying to enter or leave the city.

Ms Nigri was a mother of three and nursery teacher who lived in Beit Hagai, according to Israeli media.

She and her six-year-old daughter had hitched a ride to their home from the man driving the car, reports said.

The Palestinian militant group Hamas praised the attack, calling it a “natural response” to Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank.

Later, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the scene and said Israel was “in the midst of a terror attack” that was “encouraged, guided, funded by Iran and its satellite states”.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian health ministry said six Palestinians were shot and wounded by Israeli forces in the village of Beita, in the northern West Bank. One person who was hit in the head was in a critical condition in hospital, it added.

A video circulated online appeared to show a man being shot in the back of the head while he runs away from Israeli troops.

It comes amid another spike in violence in the West Bank.

On Saturday, an Israeli man and his son were shot dead by a suspected Palestinian gunman at a car wash near the northern village of Huwara.

On Friday, Israeli forces shot a 15-year-old Palestinian boy in the head in occupied East Jerusalem, leaving him seriously wounded. Police alleged he had tried to throw a petrol bomb during a raid in the Silwan area.

Elsewhere that day, video showed an apparently unarmed Palestinian man said to suffer from mental health problems being shot in the leg by Israeli troops during a protest near Israel’s separation barrier in Qalqilya.

There have been dozens of Israeli army raids into Palestinian cities this year as well as violence by Israeli settlers targeting Palestinian homes and Palestinian attacks on Israelis.

JTB, Ryanair renew cooperation deal, adding new routes to Jordan

The Jordan Tourism Board (JTB) and the Irish low-cost airline, Ryanair, have renewed a cooperation agreement that will last until 2028, adding 4 new routes, which brings the total number to 25 that link the Kingdom with 12 European cities. Chairman of the JTB Makram Qaisi said: “We are pleased to increase the number of routes with the international company Ryanair, which contributes to a significant increase in the number of tourists to the Kingdom during the coming period.” Qaisi said that the agreement reflects the importance of low-cost aviation in attracting tourists to Jordan, noting that the Kingdom has witnessed a positive shift in the tourism movement in recent years, especially post-COVID. For his part, Director General of the JTB Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat stated that the expected increase in the number of tourists will contribute to the distribution of tourism development gains across governorates, in addition to marketing tourism experiences in the Kingdom, which will have a positive effect on on local communities by creating new job opportunities. He pointed out that Ryanair has a large social media following, noting that the company’s professional and strong marketing content will be leveraged to highlight tourism in Jordan. In turn, CEO of Ryanair Eddie Wilson expressed his happiness at renewing the agreement, which was first signed five years ago, increasing the number of Ryanair routes to the Kingdom. He noted that the launch of Ryanair services in Jordan had a positive impact on enhancing the dynamism of the tourism sector, which led to an increase in the influx of entirely new categories of tourists to Jordan, especially from Eastern Europe. The renewal of the agreement, he indicated, will up the number of routes to 25 within more than 100 flights per week, predicting that more than 600,000 passengers will travel to and from Jordan annually, which contributes to the growth of flights at rates that may reach 30 percent to Jordan compared to last year. He pointed out that the new routes will connect Amman with Pisa, Italy; Brussels, Belgium; and Marseille, France, and a fourth line will link the city of Aqaba to Madrid, Spain.
