A mass protest was organized in Hebron today, Tuesday, to demand the recovery of the bodies of the martyrs and martyrs of the captive movement, with the participation of the families of the martyrs and prisoners.

The participants in the protest chanted slogans demanding the release of all bodies and the identification of the missing. During the protest, they raised the Palestinian flag and banners with slogans written on them demanding the recovery of the bodies of all martyrs, especially those held in refrigerators and the occupation’s cemeteries.

Director of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority, Ibrahim Najajra, denounced the practices of the occupation, which has been detaining the bodies of martyrs for 56 years, to punish their families and steal their organs. He said, “The crime of detaining the bodies of martyrs is added to the series of crimes of the occupation against humanity and the right of our people,” calling on all international, legal and humanitarian institutions to stand with them. The Palestinian people and defending their rights.

The coordinator of the national campaign to recover the bodies of the martyrs in Hebron, Amin Al-Bayed, called on our people to increase interaction and rally around the families of the martyrs and prisoners until the bodies are recovered and their funeral is carried out in a manner befitting human dignity and the dignity of the heroic martyrs, explaining that this is an international crime and a violation of all divine laws and laws.

The official spokesman for the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club, Amjad Al-Najjar, explained that the protest comes in line with the title of the international conference of the European Coalition, which will be “Recovering the Bodies of the Martyrs,” and will be attended by a number of families of the martyrs, and this detention is rejected by all international, human rights and humanitarian laws.

He noted that the number of bodies kept in the occupation cemeteries and morgues is 298 martyrs, including 45 from the Hebron Governorate, where the occupation authorities bury them under inappropriate conditions, in addition to the fact that many of the families of the martyrs do not know anything about the fate of their children

The department of Cardiology at LAU Medical Center- Rizk Hospital led by Dr. Georges Ghanem has recently concluded a successful training session on Swan-Ganz Catheterization, welcoming a delegation from Iraq. The training focused on providing hands-on experience to a group of cardiologists and interventionalists, along with their technical team, seeking to enhance their skills in right heart catheterizations. The training began with a comprehensive lecture on the topic, covering indications, contraindications, technical aspects of the procedure, and analysis of different waveforms. Attendees were able to gain a deep understanding of the theory behind Swan-Ganz catheterization, setting the stage for the practical sessions that followed. Participants were then taken to the Hybrid OR, where they witnessed live demonstrations of right heart catheterization on three different cases. The training covered all aspects of the procedure, from equipment preparation to waveform analysis and obtaining hemodynamic parameters. There was a special emphasis on the importance of this technique in valvular heart diseases, demonstrating its relevance in clinical practice. In addition to the main focus on Swan-Ganz catheterization, the training also explored new imaging technologies in coronary angiography, including the use of QFR and its role in decision-making for angioplasty in intermediate coronary lesions. This comprehensive approach equipped attendees with a wide range of skills and knowledge in the field. To aid in further learning and education, a copy of the training material was provided to each team member at the end of the day. This valuable resource will allow participants to review and reinforce their understanding of Swan-Ganz catheterization and related topics. Lower House Speaker, Ahmed Safadi, said the King launched a national project aimed to modernize and develop Jordan’s political, economic and administrative pathways to enter the state’s bicentennial stage. Safadi made the remarks during his meeting on Wednesday, with a military delegation of officers from Defense Resources Management Course, which was held at the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) Technical University College for Aviation Sciences. On its goals, Safadi said Jordan’s modernization project aims to involve all citizens in decision-making, referring to empowerment and support to youth and women to achieve this goal, which is “steadily” making progress in various state institutions. He also noted 2022 was a year of political and partisan achievement, which witnessed an “unprecedented” political effort in the path of “true” political and partisan modernization, which was reflected on Jordan’s political life. Moreover, he said election and party laws were approved in accordance with “core, substantial” amendments, as the new election regulation allocated 41 parliamentary seats to parties.

A comprehensive study conducted by the Jordan Center For Disease Control (JCDC) disclosed that Jordan utilizes 51 distinct information systems for monitoring infectious diseases. Released on Wednesday, the study highlights the numerous policies, strategies, and programs that bolster electronic transformation plans. However, many of these strategies are still in their infancy. Emphasizing the significance of data quality across various health information systems, the study underscores the need for the automation of the disease monitoring system and the activation of consistent data standards and policies. Jointly executed with both national and international institutions and backed by the Ministry of Health and the World Bank, the investigation seeks to develop a cohesive national electronic monitoring system. Muhammad Yahya, the center’s acting head, expressed the institution’s ambition to fortify an efficient infectious disease monitoring network. This network would unify data from assorted laboratory systems throughout the nation and delineate clear roles and responsibilities. Additionally, he stressed the center’s commitment to delivering integrated and quality infectious disease monitoring data, aligning with evidence-based national public health guidelines. Highlighting the study’s role in pinpointing system gaps, Yahya emphasized collaborative efforts to construct a dynamic and integrated monitoring system for infectious diseases. He extended gratitude to the Ministry of Health, the World Bank, and all contributors for their unwavering support and contributions to the national project. Fatima Hammad, Director of the Information Technology and Systems Department at the Center, delved into the study’s findings, objectives, methodology, and the broad spectrum of collaborators. She highlighted the necessity for unified efforts across sectors to bridge discrepancies in legislation, governance, policies, and data flow processes during disease reporting. Stressing the essence of uniform standards, she noted this would enhance system interoperability. Hammad also revealed that three top-tier international health security institutions were engaged to identify best global practices, recommend system enhancements, and work towards a holistic, sector-wide national monitoring system grounded in empirical evidence. Hassan Elyan, from the Health Data Department, provided insights into proposed technical solutions and their prospective implementation on a national scale.

Google Docs is getting a new “Proofread” feature that replaces today’s Spelling and grammar check.

Google calls Proofread the “next generation of writing suggestions, powered by AI.” It uses the same A and checkmark icon in the toolbar (next to Print). A blue dot appears in the top-left corner when writing suggestions are available. Tapping opens a side panel to review all suggestions and accept/reject. The user can quickly browse suggestions by type.

This feature helps users more easily and quickly compose high-quality content in Google Docs.

It is expected to be available in Duet AI for Google Workspace.

Gabonese President Ali Bongo is under house arrest, surrounded by his family and doctors, military officers said on Wednesday.

Several officials were also under arrest for “high treason”, the officers were quoted by local media as saying in a press statement.

Earlier on Wednesday, Gabonese army officers announced that they had taken power in the country and annulled the results of Saturday’s presidential election in which President Ali Bongo was declared the winner.

The electoral commission said Bongo had won just under two-thirds of the votes in an election the opposition argued was fraudulent.

His overthrow would end his family’s 53-year hold on power in Gabon.
