A security source explained to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the US-British aggression targeted a raid on the Ras Issa area in the Salif district of Hodeidah.

Amman: The European Union (EU) has pledged pound 10 million to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to enhance the educational opportunities and well-being of vulnerable children and youth across Jordan.

This funding initiative aims to bolster integration efforts and educational facilities, particularly in refugee camps and local centers.

According to an official statement released by UNICEF in Jordan on Wednesday, the partnership initiative titled “Education and Local Programs for the Most Vulnerable Syrian Children and Children of Host Communities in Jordan” is set to benefit over 36,000 children and adolescents residing in Syrian refugee camps, ensuring access to quality education.

Moreover, the funding will also extend support to approximately 9,000 vulnerable children and youth from various backgrounds, including Jordanians, Syrians, and individuals of other nationalities.

This support encompasses a comprehensive array of learning opportunities, child protection measures, and skill development
programs, all facilitated through Makani centers.

Commenting on the partnership, Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, the European Union Ambassador to Jordan, emphasized the significance of the collaboration, stating, “Today, we reaffirm our enduring partnership with the Ministry of Education and UNICEF, spanning over a decade. Through this pound 10 million program, our goal is to ensure that 45,000 Syrian refugees and Jordanian students receive quality education within camp schools and local centers, as they represent our future wealth.”

Echoing these sentiments, Philippe Duamelle, UNICEF’s representative in Jordan, expressed gratitude for the continued support from the European Union.

He highlighted the importance of providing essential learning, skills, and protection to children and youth, underscoring their pivotal role in shaping a prosperous future.

UNICEF’s Makani program, undertaken in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Development, aims to empower vulnerable children and adolescents in Jordan,
enabling them to make positive contributions to their communities.

Through a network of centers offering integrated services, including early childhood development, child protection, education, youth engagement, and skill-building initiatives, UNICEF seeks to foster holistic development among the country’s youth population.

Additionally, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, UNICEF is working towards enhancing the adaptability of the Jordanian education system to accommodate Syrian refugees, thereby ensuring equitable access to quality education in government schools.

The European Union’s commitment to supporting UNICEF’s endeavors in Jordan dates back to the onset of the Syrian crisis in 2011, reflecting a longstanding dedication to improving the lives of children and youth in the region.

The caretaker Prime Minister, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, met today, Wednesday, with the governors of Hadhramaut, Luqman Baras and Al-Mahra Al-Qatabi, Ali Al-Farji.

During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in the situation in the two provinces under the Saudi-Emirati occupation, especially those related to their activities and their efforts to consolidate their control over the two provinces, in addition to the continued deterioration of living and service conditions in them and the rest of the provinces and occupied areas, reaching unprecedented levels of deterioration and its reflection on the increase in poverty rates in Citizen circles.

The meeting discussed the projects implemented by the Saudi occupier to tighten its control over Hadramaut and Al-Mahra to implement its old and new dream of stripping the two provinces of their Yemeni identity through its work to form political frameworks loyal to it with the support of businessmen and Hadrami figures working in its favor.

The mee
ting denounced the continued occupation presence in Al-Mahra, Hadramaut, and the rest of the occupied provinces, regions , islands, its brutal criminal approach against opponents, and its cheap puppet militias.

We salute the free people of the occupied provinces in general, and Al-Mahrah in particular, who raise their voices against the Saudi-Emirati occupier and stand as a stumbling block to the implementation of his malicious plans and his efforts to undermine Yemen’s unity, identity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The meeting confirmed Sana’a’s support for all free people in those provinces and their legitimate options to confront the occupiers, expel them, and cleanse them of their filth.

Today, US-British aggression aircraft re-targeted the areas of Ras Issa and Al-Jabana in Hodeidah province.

A security source told the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the US-British aggression re-targeted the Ras Issa area in the Salif district with a raid and another raid targeted the Jabana area in the city of Hodeidah.

This comes after the US-British aggression earlier today launched two raids on the Jabana area, and two raids on Ras Issa.

Caretaker Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor discussed today, Wednesday, with his Deputy for National Vision Affairs, Mahmoud Al-Junaid, the progress of the Executive Office’s activity during the past six months of the year 1445 AH.

The meeting focused on the office’s efforts with regard to monitoring and evaluating the level of implementation of the administrative units at the central and local levels of the annual plan for the year 1445 AH, and the extent of their compliance with the guides and directives issued by the office.

Al-Junaid confirmed that the Executive Office will continue to follow up and field evaluation of the entities in conjunction with addressing any problems related to the procedural and technical aspects regarding the implementation of the plan and providing them with the necessary assistance to enhance their human capabilities in a way that serves their proper implementation of the initiatives included in the current year’s plan.

Dr. Bin Habtoor praised the various effor
ts and work carried out by the Executive Office, including its follow-up and evaluation mechanism for the levels of implementation of the government plan for the current year. He directed all parties to adhere to the standards and procedures issued by the Executive Office to enhance the level of general implementation of the plan and avoid shortcomings in the implementation process.

He expressed his thanks to all the parties that achieved good levels in the process of implementing their part of the plan, urging the lagging parties to redouble their efforts and focus on developing their technical capabilities during the coming period.

The Ministry of Fisheries launched a guidance program to raise awareness of the code of conduct and work ethics for employees of the ministry and sectors.

At the inauguration, the Minister of Fisheries stressed the importance of awareness and guidance regarding the code of conduct among employees, which contributes to building a good work environment.

The main committee for preserving the lands and campus of Taiz International Airport, headed by the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Defense , Security Affairs and Chairman of the Committee, Lieutenant General Jalal Al-Ruwaishan, discussed studies and plans for Taiz Airport rehabilitation project submitted by the Civil Aviation Authority.

In the presence of the caretaker Minister of Transport, Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, the Undersecretary for the Air Transport Sector, Abdullah Al-Ansi, and the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority, Dr. Muhammad Abdul Qadir, the committee reviewed the plans for the airport campus and the streets surrounding it.

While Transport Minister reviewed the strategic importance of Taiz Airport to provide its services locally and internationally, indicating that studies and plans are ready to rehabilitate the airport in accordance wit
h international requirements and specifications.

He pointed out that work is underway to provide the requirements of the Taiz Airport rehabilitation project to meet the efficiency of safe technical operation and international safety requirements.

The College of Education, Humanities and Applied Sciences in Al-Jawf Governorate celebrated the graduation of its first batch of students ( ‘Al-Nahda’ batch).

The president of the College congratulated the students of the batch on this graduation and the great achievement of the College, which achieved thanks to the support and assistance of the revolutionary and political leadership.

A meeting held today, Wednesday, in Sana’a, headed by Industry and Trade Minister in the caretaker government, Muhammad Al-Mutahhar, discussed the conditions of the Yemeni General Corporation for Cement Manufacturing and Marketing, and plans to develop work in the corporation and its affiliated factories.

At the meeting, the Minister of Industry stressed the importance of raising performance level , advancing the reality of the institution and its affiliated factories according to a modern vision that contributes to developing the production and marketing process of cement factories and translates the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership to improve the reality of local productive industries based on local raw materials.

He pointed out that the corporation has the full potential to compete and achieve a qualitative leap in the cement industry, noting that the decision to ban the import of foreign cement paves the way for the national cement industry to develop and modernize.

In turn, the
Chairman of the Corporation’s Board of Directors, Yahya Ataifa, appreciated the interest of the leadership of the Ministry of Industry in the Cement Manufacturing and Marketing Corporation and the advancement of the production process in its factories.

He stressed the continuation of the process of development and modernization.

He also pointed out that the will and determination to achieve success is sufficient to overcome all difficulties and translate development plans into reality.
