Israeli occupation forces round up 18 Palestinians during raids at their West Bank homes

Israeli occupation forces today and last night detained at least 18 Palestinians, some of them minors, during raids at their family homes throughout the occupied West Bank, according to various sources.

At least 10 of the detainees were from the southern West Bank Hebron district and included a 15-year-old minor. Five of the detainees were from the town of Yatta while the rest were from the towns of Sair and Beit Ummar.

The sources also said an army unit raided Aida refugee camp in the southern West Bank city of Bethlehem and detained two camp residents.

During the raid, residents clashed with the soldiers who opened fire at the protesters injuring an 18-year-old youth in the head with a rubber-coated metal bullet, who was taken to hospital for treatment.

Also in the Bethlehem area, soldiers detained a Palestinian youth from the village of Hosan, west of Bethlehem, after raiding his family home.

In the Jerusalem district, Israeli soldiers detained three youths from the town of Hizma, east of Jerusalem.

Soldiers also detained two other Palestinians from two different villages, Ras Karkar and Kufr Nimeh, in the Ramallah district.
