Weather forecast: Partly cloudy skies, seasonal temperature

Weather today is partly cloudy and relatively cold in the mountains and fair in other districts in daytime with a rise of temperature, which becomes seasonal, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Partly cloudy and cold conditions are expected in the night, particularly in the mountains. Light to moderate northeasterly to northwesterly wind blows in daytime, while light to moderate northwesterly wind blows in the night. Sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 14°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 13°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 12°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Friday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 2°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and mild to relatively cold conditions.

A significant drop of temperature is expected on Saturday, paving the way to partly cloudy and rainy conditions. Sporadic rain showers, possibly torrential, are expected, with the chance of rainfall gradually tapering off towards the night.

Cloudy to partly cloudy and cold conditions are expected on Friday, particularly in the mountains. The chance remains for isolated light rain showers.
