Radical settlers raid Al-Aqsa Mosque

Extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque/ al-Haram al-Sharif compound in the occupied city of Jerusalem on Thursday, while heavily guarded by the Israeli occupation police. The General Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said that dozens of radical settlers stormed the Mosque from the al-Magharebah Gate, carried out suspicious tours and performed provocative Talmudic rituals in its yards. Israeli forces tightened their military measures at all gates of Al-Aqsa Mosque and prevented citizens and worshipers from entering it and being in its vicinity.

Jordanian delegation visits Xinhua News Agency

Director-General of Arab News at China’s Xinhua News Agency, Chen Yong, expressed interest in expanding media cooperation with Arab countries. During his meeting with a Jordanian press delegation invited by the Chinese government, he mentioned that Xinhua is committed to providing comprehensive and diverse coverage, both in Arab countries and worldwide. Yong noted that the agency broadcasts news in 15 languages around the clock and has 180 offices worldwide with 12,000 employees, including Jordan. Settlers open fire at ambulances carrying bodies of Palestinians, killing one person, injuring another

A 63-year-old Palestinian man was killed, while his 26-year-old son was seriously injured on Thursday after Israeli extremist settlers, under the protection of the occupation soldiers, opened fire at ambulances transporting the dead bodies of Palestinians. According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, dozens of settlers opened fire at ambulances that were transporting bodies from Salfit to the town of Qasra, south of Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, ahead of a funeral service that was to be held for them. Israeli radicals intercepted the vehicles and opened fire at Palestinians, leading to violent clashes breaking out.

Palestinian commission warns of risk of cutting off water, electricity to detainees

The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs warned on Thursday of the dangerous escalation taking place in Israeli prisons and detention centers, which puts the lives of male and female prisoners in danger. The authority explained in a statement that the Negev Prison administration’s decision to cut off water and electricity to the detainees as of Wednesday is a “disturbing move of retaliation.” The commission called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to step in immediately to stop this crime and to communicate with the Negev Prison to restore water and electricity to all sections, and to pledge not to repeat “these retaliatory practices that violate all international norms and conventions.”

SAMS concludes 3rd medical mission for Syrian refugees

The Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS) on Wednesday wrapped up its third medical mission in Jordan, where it provided free medical services to Syrian refugees. Minister of Social Development Wafa Bani Mustafa, who patronized the closing ceremony, praised SAMS for providing high-quality volunteer medical services to local communities in Jordan’s governorates and Syrian refugee camps. She emphasized that Jordan’s hosting of a large number of Syrian refugees has caused an increase in demand for health, education, water, and energy services, therefore requiring the international community to take responsibility towards the Syrian refugees and Jordan, which provides them with services despite having limited resources. Mustafa said she is looking forward to improving cooperation with the organization and supporting new volunteer programs in the future. The minister expressed appreciation for Arab participants in SAMS campaigns and the increasing number of Jordanian doctors joining the cause over the past years. SAMS Country Representative in Jordan Lina Abu Nuwar said the Society’s medical missions’ program is one of the biggest in Jordan. Volunteers bear their own expenses and come from the United States to provide healthcare services to the underprivileged, she added.

Al-Araji discusses with the Iranian Foreign Minister the border issue between the two countries
