Seven People Accused Of Terrorism Arrested In Four Governorates

Baghdad – Military Intelligence arrested seven people accused of terrorism in Baghdad, Anbar, Nineveh, and Salah al-Din.

The intelligence said in a statement, “Ambushes were set up in separate areas of the four governorates, which resulted in the arrest of (7) people accused of belonging to the ISIS terrorist organization in the districts of Karma, Ana, Mosul, and the districts of Al-Zab and Al-Rashid, and they were handed over to the requesting authorities.”

Israeli Occupation Forces arrest 85 Palestinians In The West Bank

Baghdad -The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club announced that the Israeli occupation forces arrested (85) citizens in the West Bank.

The club stated in a statement: “The Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out arrest campaigns against citizens in the West Bank as part of the comprehensive aggression against our people and systematic mass retaliation operations. Last night and at dawn today, Thursday, the occupation forces launched a new campaign of arrests, targeting at least (85) citizens from the West Bank, including five women.”

It added, “The arrest operations were concentrated in the governorates of Ramallah, al-Khalil, Bet Lahem, and al-Quds, and the rest of the arrests were distributed across the majority of the governorates of the West Bank.”

Speaker of the Arab Parliament: Silence Over The Crimes Of The Zionist Occupation Is A Disgrace To The International Community

Baghdad -The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Asoumi, condemned the state of international silence towards the daily crimes committed by the occupying power in the Gaza Strip, describing this silence as “a disgrace on the forehead of the international community.”

Al-Asoumi affirmed in his speech before the 147th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, hosted by Luanda, the capital of Angola: “The people of Palestine have suffered, and are still suffering, for more than seventy-five years, from all forms of injustice, persecution, killing, arrest, and abuse, in order to obtain their most basic rights to establish their Independent state, and is currently being exposed to the worst forms of war crimes, crimes against humanity, genocide, and forced displacement at the hands of the brutal occupying force.”

He sent several messages to the international community, organizations concerned with human rights, and countries that support the crimes of the occupation, saying, “Where are you when it comes to killing children, women, and the elderly in your sight and hearing? Where are you when it comes to destroying residential buildings, cutting off water, electricity, and services, and preventing the entry of aid to civilians in Palestine? Where are you from the state terrorism practiced by the brutal occupying force, and its deliberate targeting of a hospital housing patients, children, and women? Your silence is not neutrality, but rather participation in these crimes, and a shame on you, which history will record and hold you accountable for.”

Al-Asoumi called on the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union to issue an urgent call for an immediate ceasefire and lift the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip, hold the occupation fully responsible for terrorist crimes against civilians, and hold their perpetrators accountable as war criminals.

The Popular Mobilization Forces Arrests An ISIS Member In The Nineveh Plain

Baghdad -A force from the Popular Mobilization Forces arrested, today, Thursday, a terrorist ISIS member in the Nineveh Plain.

The PMF’s Commission stated in a statement: “A joint force from the Popular Mobilization Intelligence and the 30th Brigade arrested the ISIS operative in Nineveh Governorate, after obtaining judicial approvals.”

It added: “The detainee was handed over to the competent authorities.”

IHEC: We Guarantee The Participation Of All Kirkuk Voters And The Candidates’ Campaigns Will Launch Next Month

Baghdad -The Independent High Electoral Commission announced the launch of the media campaign for candidates for the local elections on the first of next November.

The Commission’s official spokesperson, Jumana Al-Ghalai, said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency : “We have more than six thousand candidates and 134 electoral lists that include 39 alliances, 29 parties, and 66 individual candidates participating in the upcoming electoral process at the end of this year.”

She explained, “The quota for women is achieved in all electoral lists, because the Commission’s procedures guarantee the participation of women in all lists of alliances and parties.”

She added, “According to the Diwani order, there is a special committee to audit the voter registry in Kirkuk Governorate, and include voters in the updating and lottery processes. They will also be included in the new biometric card. A technical committee was also formed headed by a member of the Board of Commissioners, Fattah Muhammad Hussein, and includes representatives of the Ministries of Health, Justice, Commerce, Interior, Planning, and Representatives of Kirkuk Governorate, to review and audit the voter register.”

The Commission’s official spokesperson confirmed, “The special committee met in the field within the governorate and visited the offices of Kirkuk and its affiliated districts for the purpose of verifying the voter registry and ensuring their constitutional rights to participate in these elections, as voters were included in the updating procedures, the biometric card, and the lottery of candidates,” indicating that “the Commission guarantees the rights of Kirkuk voters are able to participate in the elections, similar to the other fifteen governorates included in the local council elections.”

It is noteworthy that the Election Commission will finish approving all procedures related to the names of candidates at the end of this month of October.
